Final days of the year

By the second to last week of school Nick had finally made his choice based on the most precious opportunity that each possible mentor gave him. In the end he chose Olivander since he honestly seriously needed knowledge on veritology for his ring wraith project. It also helped that he was pretty sure that Olivander would be more than happy to allow him to take the time to set up Sirius's release. If Nick wasn't mistaken the mentoring application from the man was likely just so he could gather data on his wand rather than Nick himself.-

Olivander was nothing if not dedicated to his craft which was a trait Nick could respect as a craftsman himself. Mcgonagall raised an eyebrow when Nick turned in his choice considering the options available to him but didn't comment on it. After that Nick didn't have any pressing matters to take care of so he simply relaxed. On the day before he school was set to end he stored away all the tools he may need over the summer holiday including his furnace and some metal before double checking one his friends plans for the summer.-

Harry was going to be staying with the Weasley's over the summer while the rest were going back with their own families. Daphne and Tracy were planning to relax and only otherwise do their homework during this time and Harry and Ron was pretty much the same. Hermione was going to France for vacation with her parents and planned to visit that countries magical community as well. Nick got a bunch of weird looks when he explained how he was basically going to be learning and settling some matters during summer. "That sounds bloody exhausting , don't you plan to take a break at all?" Ron asked worried.-

"Nah , I have far to much on my plate to rest easy right now what with having to fix my until recently extinct families finances and political power. Not to mention the sheer amount of catching up I have to do on the front as well because as it turns out being functionally extinct for a thousand years does in fact mean we are massively outdated in a few ways." Nick said casually with a shrug. The whole group grimaces at the thought of the work he had ahead of him "I don't envy you at all." Daphne said honestly and the rest nodded in agreement.-

Nick merely just grinned and laughed "Just watch as I lift the thousand years of dust of my name and let it's radiance illuminate the world." he said with a determined and prideful tone. Tracy rolled her eyes "Yes yes you are so amazing none of us mere mortals can dare to stand in your presence." she said sarcastically and everyone laughed. The final day Nick woke up to find his luggage trunk missing from the end of his bed but he didn't panic as he knew the house elves had already sent it to the carriages.-

Getting up he got dressed in the spare set of jeans and blue t-shirt he had in Greed which was a bit tight due to his growth over the past school year. A quick transfiguration fixed this problem leaving him comfortable and also fully covered. No one else was awake at the moment since it was dawn so Nick left the dorm room quietly. He activated the house elf calling bust in the common room summoning one of the wrinkled floppy eared tiny servants to himself. "I need about ten loaves of lembas bread for over the summer , could you help me get it before I leave?" he asked politely.-

"Sir Ravenclaw can leave it to Tinky!" The house elf said respectfully and eagerly before vanishing from the common room. Nick was surprised that none of the elves had noticed that he himself had mostly become an elf but Celebrimbor had a theory on the matter. According to him it was possible that the elves of this world had literally nothing to do with the type of elf that Nick was becoming. As a result Nick was merely treated as a student from one of the founding families by the house elves , which was to say a little better than everyone else.-

Knowing that he wouldn't get in trouble today for it Nick openly left the common room to walk around the castle to soak in it's sights for the last time in a long time. He of course made sure to stop by the workshop and pick up Steve since the little trouble maker would be coming with Nick away from Hogwarts. Helena had already made her way towards the train by this point since she was technically sneaking away.
