Delphini went to the stage with nervousness, she is looking at Alex and Dumbledore constantly, she goes to the stage and sit on the stool, McGonagall placed the hat on her head, the sorting hat said," hmm interesting,a kin of someone studied at Hogwarts, but completely opposite to them, based on your blood you have to go to Slytherin".
delphini's face instantly darkened and she became said, she is praying for a house other than Slytherin then the sorting hat said," are you sure you don't want to be in Slytherin little girl? , you want any other house, then I will leave it to your decision, decide on your own which house do you want to be in."
hearing the sorting hat, delphini nervously looked around and saw Alex, she felt that boy can help her when she heard about Alex surviving her so called father's death curse, she even watched him in dreams due to the connection between horcruxes and saw Alex destroying them without damaging the objects, she felt hope after seeing that and wanted to ask him for help to remove the evil magic placed on her by her father the dark lord, she hated dark lord for doing this to her at the age of 5 years, since then she felt a connection to her father and constantly heard whispers in her mind, she wanted end her suffering but her mother forced her to follow the dark lord and even tortured her, only Rodolfus took care of her and she felt he should've been her father instead of the dark lord.
she made up her mind to ask Alex for help and got rid of this suffering, she said," put me in Ravenclaw " in her mind , the sorting hat asked," are you sure?", she just said," yes" in her mind and the hat yelled," Ravenclaw".
silence , even the Ravenclaw long table is silent from the sorting hat's decision, Alex also frowned as she selected Ravenclaw, in the novel she is a daddy's girl who tried everything to ressurrect him, now she is even rejecting Slytherin, Alex is puzzled about this girl , delphini smiled and walked towards the long table of Ravenclaw, the students applauded in daze as lestrange belongs to Slytherin because of blood supramacy, they are confused how a pure blood family member will be in ravenclaw.
the Slytherin long table is full of hostility and they are looking at delphini who is going to Ravenclaw table with contempt. Alex on the other hand watched as the girl approached him and sat opposite to his seat beside Luna.
Luna looked at her like she caught something from her and asked in a low voice," why do you have an additional soul in your body?".
Alex is dumbfounded again by Luna and Delphini also shocked by the girl next to her, Alex confirmed his suspicion about her being a horcrux and looked at her, she said," maybe you misunderstood something, I don't know what are you saying?", but she is terrible at lying and Alex noticed she knew about this magic, but he frowned why this girl approached Ravenclaw rather than Slytherin, then looked at her while using legilimancy, but it bounced back like something blocked him, it's the horcrux and Alex is on guard now.
delphini introduced herself as Delphini lestrange and Luna also introduced herself along with Cho, Alex also introduced himself , the girl looks like she wanted ask something, Alex found her behaviour far from what discribed in the book, Delphini who didn't talk to anyone of her age don't know what to say and is fidgeting but her looks is like she is asking for help and has pleading gaze whenever she looked at Alex, he guessed it's about horcrux and helping her get rid of it.
Alex then whispered to Cho," Cho , she looks like she needs our help, carefully moniter her and also ask Luna to look after her, I'm feeling a black magic cast on her and she is suffering, we need to help this one, bring her to the room of requirement, I show you last semester". Cho though puzzled at first nodded at Alex and looked at delphini and said in a low voice," don't worry , I know about the soul thing she is talking about , I will help you, follow Cho tomorrow and she will guide to a room where I'll treat, there are eyes on you, it's best to avoid others especially those from Slytherin".
delphini is shocked again and after hearing Alex will help her, she almost shed tears and nodded, she remembered the dreams where he purified the objects from her father's magic, she is hoping Alex will help her. then Luna who is watching her , comforted her like she knows the pain and suffering of her.
Alex asked Cho to let Luna and Delphini tostay in the same room and said he will explain everything tomorrow after she is cured, Cho looked at the girl comforted by Luna and noticed the sadness in her eyes, she said okay and will take care of delphini.
soon, the ceremony ended and Dumbledore said some words and animal sounds that will make others look at him like he is crazy, the dinner is started, Alex talked about his holidays with Luna and Cho, delphini is also hearing this and joined them with a smile, the other Ravenclaw students who thought delphini to be an ill mannered and arrogant pure blood is now looking at her smile and envy Alex , after the dinner Dumbledore congratulated Alex for winning the championship and awarded Ravenclaw 50 points, this made Ravenclaw who watched the scores at liquid flasks happy as they are in 70 points lead even before the beginning of term.
when going to the common room , Luna is constantly asking Alex about the unicorn and pheonix, Alex promised her he will show them after sometime and Delphini also wanted ask about them as she never saw unicorn or pheonix, Alex sighed and told them he will show them after delphini is cured.
Cho took delphini and Luna to the female dorms , like Alex said she asked her friends about room change and they agreed at one condition that made her angry but she agreed, the condition is Alex's autograph, her room mates, no the entire Ravenclaw girls are like a fan club to him and constantly asked Cho about Alex and her relation, they even asked her to bring his autograph but she rejected them. but now she has to agree as Alex told her about delphini being affected by black magic and asked her to look after delphini.
