Chapter 4: The Gaunt's, and Diagon Alley

seating opposite of each other in the living room. Alvin looked at Snape across from him, feeling a mixed emotions. Snape was a character he had admired when watching the movies in his previous life, even though he didn't particularly like him.

However, as Alvin learned more about Snape's life, he began to understand why Snape treated Harry the way he did. Snape had a tragic life, burdened by the guilt of causing the death of the only love he ever had. Perhaps his final death was a form of release for him.

Seated next to Alvin, Snape remained unaware of Alvin's thoughts and spoke in his deep voice. "Mr. Gaunt, your surname is well-known trough out the wizarding world. Your ancestor, Salazar Slytherin, was one of the founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the first head of house Slytherin."

"Due to certain reasons, your family has faced a decline in recent years. However, the legacy of pure blood still runs through your veins. I believe that at Hogwarts, you have the potential to restore the greatness of your family and surename."

After explaining some common sense of magical world, Snape paused momentarily, allowing Alvin to absorb the information. Alvin realized that he had no prior knowledge about his own family and surename. But as Snape spoke, memories of Voldemort's mother being from the Gaunt family and the resurrection stone being the Gaunt's ancestral home came rushing back to him.

As time passed, Snape's explanation came to an end. "This is the general information. For more detailed knowledge, you can explore and learn at Hogwarts. Do you have any questions, Mr. Gaunt?"

"No, Professor, I'm eagerly looking forward to my future life and can't wait to visit Diagon Alley," Alvin replied honestly. His curiosity about the wizarding world had reached its peak. "Then, Mr. Gaunt, please stand by my side and grab my wrist," Snape said, gesturing towards Alvin.

As soon as they arrived in Diagon Alley, Alvin looked around curiously at the lively cobblestone filled street with pedestrians wearing all sorts of wizard atire. "Let's go to Gringotts first and get retrive some Galleons. Although the Gaunt family has fallen for quite some time, as one of the sacred Twenty-Eight Families of wizarding britain, there should still be some funds left in the vault," said Snape, while leading the way towards Gringotts.

Inside of Gringotts, Snape approached an empty counter and informed the goblin sitting there, "We're here to access the Gaunt family's vault. This is the heir to the Gaunt family." The goblin glanced at Alvin, then had him extract a drop of blood, placing it in a magic artifact for confirmation. After a positif confirmation, the goblin led them to the gaunt family vault.

The Gaunt family's vault, numbered 710, was located at one of the deepest part of the gringots. Alvin experienced the feeling of sliding down in a small minecart, but there was no sight of the dragon.

Upon opening to the vault, they entered a spacious chamber. However, due to the family's sharp decline, there weren't many Galleons left in it,tough the galeons left in the vault still managed to be stacked about two meters high. Snape estimated it should still be a round, "50 to 100 Galleons, that should be enough for the next year."

Alvin had obtained a substantial number of Galleons from his draws, but he decided to leave them in the system inventory for now. After taking the required amount of Galleons, they left Gringotts soon after. Next, they approached a small shop that has a worn gold signage at the door. Understanding the importance of wands for wizards, Snape naturally brought Alvin to pick out his wand first.

Upon entering the shop, Alvin realized it was much larger inside than it appeared from the outside, likely due to a extension Charm being used. The shelves were filled with slender boxes, each containing a wand.

"Good morning, Mr. Snape! It's been a long time since I saw you. Let me think... ebony, a triple core a phoenix tailfeather, a dragon heartstring and a kelpie, thirteen and a half inches, right?" a soft voice greeted them as an old man with bright eyes appeared.

"Correct, Mr. Ollivander. This is Mr. Gaunt, and I brought him here today to choose his very own wand that suits him," Snape replied with his usual composed demeaner. Ollivander's response was typical of him, "It's the wand that chooses the wizard Mr. Snape." Ollivander then asked Alvin, "Please give me your dominant hand, Mr. Gaunt"

With a wave of Ollivander's wand, a tape measure floated over to take Alvin's measurements. After that, Ollivander began to guide Alvin to different wand boxes, but before he could even make a selection, the boxes trembled and a whirlwind of wands flew towards him. The sight was astonishing, as nearly one-tenth of the boxes opened, and countless wands soared and spun around Alvin.

"Merlin's beard," Ollivander exclaimed. "This is a remarkable occurrence. All these wands have phoenix feather cores." Alvin, realizing what happend explained to Ollivander that Fury's presence might have influenced the wands them self. Se he asked Ollivander, if he could use Fury's tail feather to craft a wand for him.

Ollivander's eyes lit up at the idea. In recent years, Dumbledore's phoenix, Fawkes, had become increasingly difficult to acquire new tail feathers from. The fact that there was another phoenix whose feathers might be used for wand-making excited Ollivander greatly. With this newfound possibility, Ollivander took Alvin to his workshop in the back, the old wandmaker began discussing the custom wand that Alvin wanted.

"Mr Gaunt, your knowladge of wand crafting has given me a new understanding of wand crafting. You must know that Dumbledore's wand was sold by my grandfather back then, and the scene at that time was far less shocking than it is now." Alvin realized that this remarkable reaction must be due to Fury's presence. He wondered if a wand made from Fury's feathers would fit him even better.

With that thought, Alvin's mind moved, and fire instantly appeared in the air. Under the surprised eyes of Snape and Ollivander, Phoenix Fury flew gorgeously onto Alvin's shoulder. "This is my buddy, Fury. She showed up at my house two days after I received my Hogwarts notice, and we became friends."

Looking at the phoenix in front of them, neither Snape nor Ollivander expected that, aside from the Dumbledore family, there would be someone recognized by a phoenix. The bond between Alvin and Fury left them astonished.

Alvin took the opportunity to ask, "I think it may be because of Fury, so I am more suitable for a wand made of Phoenix tail feathers. I wonder if Master Ollivander can use Fury's tail feather to customize a wand for me?"

Ollivander's eyes lit up when he heard Alvin's words. In recent years, Dumbledore's Phoenix, Fawkes, had become increasingly temperamental. Ollivander hadn't received new tail feathers from him in a long time, and his stock of Phoenix tail feathers was running low. The opportunity to create a wand using a different Phoenix's feather was an exciting prospect for him.

"Now that there are more phoenixes, how can I be unhappy?" Ollivander said with a smile. Without any delay, Ollivander led Alvin to the studio behind the store, and the old and the young began to discuss the creation of a unique wand using Fury's tail feather.
