Soon, my grandmom came with the food for us; each served our favorite foods differently. I ended up getting a haslet with macaroni cheese and a roll. Charlotte got fried chicken, Avery got chips with gravy, and Ava just ate from Charlotte's plate.

The rest had different variants, from regular sandwiches to extravagant, well-prepped turkey legs with mashed potatoes.

While eating the food, the entire group remained cheery. Soon, after having this big "brunch," my grandma started talking.

"Well, this is the last day we are all together. So let's do something more fun, shall we?" She directs us outside.

"I wanted this to be more special today." Clapping her hands, a bunch of crows start flying by. One of the crows lands in my hands. Soon, they begin to fly around us in excitement.

We spent the next thirty minutes playing outside with each other and playing with the crows. She clapped her hands again. Soon, the crows began to fly away, but I felt a change in the atmosphere where they went, but I ignored it.

After dismissing us to do our fun things, my granny grabs Charlotte and me.

"You two, come with me for now." Taking our hands, she begins to walk away before seemingly remembering something. "We back soon~! Make sure all of you are packed up for later today!" Yelling to the kids, they all nod. "Marcus, you're in charge!" The brown-haired says yes, ma'am, to this.

After ensuring everything is fine, she watches them return inside and walks us to the forest by the orphanage.

I wanted to show you two something. I'm sure you know, Wanya, but you're a wizard. And as for you, Charlotte, you're a witch.

Nodding at her, we stay silent about our questions. But I had always been weird compared to the other kids, but I never picked that up from Charlotte.

Walking in silence a little longer, we soon get to a cave.

She pulls out a stick-licking thing in her pocket. My face scrunches up. "What's in my hands is a wand, Wanya."

"You heard me say that?" Looking at her shocked, she laughs. "No, your face perfectly expressed that. I'm not that great of a legilimency user."

"What is legilimency?" Asking her this, Charlotte tilts her head.

While moving her wand, she responded, "It's just a form of magic that reads minds." After hearing her say that, we both had more questions, but we just left it for now.

"Now listen to me closely." Shifting the topic, we look at my grandmom.

She moves her mouth and says something that makes no sense.

"Revelio!" Yelling that, the entrance of the cave changes.

"We don't have that much time..." Pulling out her locket watch, she twists it back. "Okay, we are 3 hours back; this gives me three hours to teach you two."

Charlotte and I looked at each other, and we felt fear from what she said.

"No reason to feel fear; it'll be fine; now, come on, walk through the cave."

Taking Charlotte's hand, my grandma started smiling at the sight. "Yes, yes, Mr Knight, protect her."

Putting my hand in my face, Charlotte starts giggling. I did not respond; we just walked in there.

Walking in, we see the night sky, two desks, and a board in front of them, surrounded by many trees. She sits on the left side, and I sit on the right, and different small things float around us.

Soon, my grandmother walks in. "How do you two like it? I made this as a reference to what you two both like."

We both nod; the scenery around us is beyond amazing. The moonlight perfectly reflects everything around us, and the tiny little animals that look like spirits are beyond beautiful.

Walking in front of us two, she begins her. "Lessons." Two pots appear in front of us. "Okay, first up is potions; it's hard to know if you're genuinely talented. But think of this as a way to know what you're good at."

"The potion we are going to make first; it's the easiest potion I can think of." Taking her wand, the chalk starts moving on the board. The big words forgetfulness potion appears, and two sets of different ingredients appear on our desks.

"You two should be able to make this without your wands for now." The chalk begins to name the ingredients. "Well, first, I want you two to figure out which method goes first and which ingredient goes first. Though I doubt you both can do it. You all know nothing about potions, but I want to see it anyway." Opening her hand, a flask appears with red liquid. "Make sure the color is like this." Smiling at us, we both get right to work.

Even though there are no instructions we can follow, I have yet to come up with anything that good, but Charlotte is rushing through them.

Soon enough, it's been a good while, and Charlotte completed her potion. It wasn't perfect, but it was suitable for the first time. As for me, I needed to be told step by step to understand the stirring methods and the correct ingredient process. Charlotte had it right initially; she knew exactly what to do.

Comparing both of our potions, mine was better. But I was told everything. Charlotte naturally figured it out from the color and reactions.

"So, Charlotte loves potions." As she said that, she flicked her wand, and the pots and wording on the board disappeared.

"Well, we only have a small amount of time for now. So, I'll be teaching charms, jinxes, and curses together.

Appearing in front of us, two books for us each. One has "Charms for dummies." and the other is "Dark Arts for beginners."

"Okay, first, understanding what a charm is. But I'd rather show you two." Taking her wand, she starts saying simple spells.

"To put it in simple terms, a charm enhances something. For example, LEVIOSA!"

Pointing her wand at Charlotte, she begins floating.

"As for a jinx, it's almost similar." Pointing her wand at me, a purple flash hits me.

"Get up and walk for me, please, honey."

Getting out of my chair, I start tripping excessively, and every time I get up and try to walk, I trip.

"That's the Trip Jinx. Notice how one is seen as more irritating, and the other is more on the practical side?"

Nodding at her, she says great.

"Now, for curses, this is going be vastly different. I'm going to wait to teach you these. But..." Moving her hand, the book shifts pages.

"You can read about them, but know that dark arts are not necessarily evil." Taking some more time, we read through different magic, and she even let us practice some of them that you can do without a wand.

Soon, we got to our last lesson, Legilimency and Occlumency.

She moved us onto the ground and told us to free our minds from distractions.

"Now, Wanya, I sealed your mind. You're a natural at occlumen and legilimens; I couldn't have you reading everyone's mind in the orphanage."

Looking at her weirdly. "So you sealed my ability, so I don't read people's minds."

She looks to the side. "I like to call it supervision. Anyway, clear your mind. Don't freak out about what I'm about to do."

Sitting down with me, she puts her hand on my head. "This is probably going to hurt, and you might automatically hear all of Charlotte's thoughts, but don't freak out, okay?"

"Okay."

Closing her eyes, she focuses on her mind. She notices the mental blocker she put there. My mind opens up after getting rid of it, and it feels like it's in a different dimension.

Sooner or later, my mind returns, and I hear Charlotte's thoughts. 'I want pumpkin pie.' Closing my eyes, I tried my best not to read them.

"I'm guessing it worked?"

Nodding my head, she smiles brightly.

"Okay, now free your mind. Wanya, you don't have to follow it, but I suggest you do it."

Nodding my head, my mind is free.

"Your mind is, in a sense, a scape, so remember that. Charlotte, make sure you develop your mind with one layer, but to do that, I have to try to get it in your mind. Is that fine with you?"

Nodding her head, she tells Charlotte to open her eyes. "The most basic way to fully break into someone's mind is through the eyes." Looking through her eyes, Charlotte feels a strong, mysterious foreign force in her mind.

She starts burrowing her eyes. "Good job, Charlotte, you're resisting. But you need to make sure the layer can detect and slightly bounce me out; if you can do that, nobody can read your surface-level thoughts, and if they force themselves in, you'd know."

After a while, our practice stops.

She clicked her locket watch and started smiling. "Just in time. Remember, we were just gone for ten minutes. And you two did a little prank in the forest, and I came here to make you fix it, okay?"

"Okay." Saying that in unison, we go back to the orphanage. Everyone asks us what we did for some minutes out there, but I'm curious about what kind of magic my grandma used to change time.

After some time, everybody plays around. But after some time, two different SUVs pull up. And an older-looking lady and an older man come out of them.

Seeing them, all the kids and I ran upstairs to avoid awkwardly meeting these two.

Coming to the doors, my grandma opens them.

"Mrs. Walker & Mr. Walker, thank you for coming today. You're right on time; I was just about to call you two."

Smiling at them, she lets them two in.

Walking into the mansion, the man responded to her. "We ran into some problems; the cars both needed fixing. I wasn't expecting both of them to need changes."

The older woman also supports him. "Traffic was also a handful; luckily, it's calming down."

As they walk them into the living room, the kids and I look at them from upstairs while my granny brings them both drinks.

Setting the drinks in front of them, all three of them start having a conversation.

"So, where are the kids we're adopting?" The older woman looks around to see us on the stairs and waves at us.

"They look like angels, don't they, honey." Nodding at his wife, "They still look like they do some mischief, but nothing we can handle."

"Haha, yes, there are some kids that do pranks." Looking behind, my grandma smiles at us. "But Mrs. Walker is right; they are some angels. I feel sad this is the day we have to depart. But you know what they say, good things always come to an end."

Looking at her sad expression, Mr. Walker follows up. "Sometimes, it's hard to let go. But when something ends, something more beautiful blooms."

"Haha, you ain't said it more perfectly, Mr. Walker."

After a while, they finish enjoying their drinks and signing some papers. Then she calls the kids down, including Charlotte and me.

Walking down, my granny is holding back tears; before she says something, she claps her hands. "Okay, everybody, say your goodbyes to Charlotte and Wanya."

Hearing "Charlotte," the kids look even more defeated. They realize that they have lost their home for years and me. But they're also losing one of their sisters.

Ava starts crying fully. Picking her up, Charlotte kisses her cheeks.

"I'll make it to visit you, okay, Ava? You're going to the same place as your siblings." Smiling, Charlotte holds back her tears.

"Yes, but big brother Wanya and you won't be there." Holding her even more tightly, Ava doesn't want to let go.

"Yes, but you have big sister Avery, no? And Big Brother Marcus, big Brother Max, and big sister Olivia. They'll make you feel less lonely."

Everybody expresses their sentiments to her, and soon, everybody gets ready to leave after some while.

Hugging everybody, Charlotte and I talked to each of our "siblings" before they left. Avery made gifts for us both. We both promised to visit them at least next summer.

Soon, they all leave, but before then. They all look out of the windows and shout at us bye until we can't see them anymore.

"BYE WANYA, BYE CHARLOTTE, BYE MISS BROWN- NO BYE GRANNY!"

Hearing that, my grandma smiles brightly at their words while Charlotte and I energetically wave goodbye.
