Micah and Blue sat by the lake. She was guiding him in how to manifest his new-found powers. As the Concept Of Faith, he had the power of {Light}.
"Anywhere there is light, you walk as an emperor. The stronger your Faith is, the brighter and more powerful your light becomes." Blue said stoically. Her tone had still not changed, but Micah had started adapting to it. Though it still bothered him that she could smile like an angel, but speak words containing no emotions.
"I think I feel it!" Micah said in delight, and just at that moment, he started to feel a warm sensation make its way through his body. Not a minute later, a bright blue light came out in waves from his body. It illuminated the evening sky and scared away any wild animals hiding in the vicinity. The light left burn marks on the ground close to his body, as he was the source and it was strongest near him.
As it died down it only left a faint hue around him like a barrier, Blue smiled and asked. "How do you feel, Master?"
"Great, actually." He raised his hands and swiped a few times in the air, accidentally sending away a blue light-beam. It disintegrated a small part of a tree a few meters away. Fortunately, it didn't do anything more than that.
"You lack even the most basic form of control over your light. That is something we will have to work on." Blue said and her smile faded and was replaced by her usual calm or almost stoic expression.
"Yeah, agreed. Anyway, what did you mean by my power is strengthened by faith? I don't believe in any God." Micah said. He could feel his strength swaying, it was a very strange sensation. One moment he felt as if he could throw a boulder and the next that feeling dissipated.
"Technically, there is no God. That is a word and concept you mortals invented. We call higher beings as divines when we use simple terms. And, to answer your question. Faith existed long before any Divine. It has nothing to do with the Divine realm except they also thrive on faith to survive. To put it simply. It's your belief in something."
Micah placed a finger on his chin and said. "Anything? What if I believe in evil. And what if I do evil acts and call them righteous?"
"You're catching on quick, Master." Blue smiled. "That is just as valid as anything else. The purer and more honest your belief is, the more power your light will posses. If your source is your belief in yourself, your power will weaken when you experience doubt. But, the more you believe, the more powerful you can become."
"Exactly how powerful can I become?" Micah asked, somewhat nervous to the idea of wielding world-destroying power.
"One of my previous hosts could point at a planet and it would explode. His belief was rooted in selfishness, and he grew many times more powerful after that. Unfortunately, The Concept Of {Authority} killed him not long after he first stepped foot in Paradise. He was one of two hosts remaining at the time."
"Wow, that kind of scares me. What if I lose control and accidentally destroy or kill mass amounts of people?"
"A very common thing among hosts. Many has been the reason worlds are no longer present in the multiverse. But, generally {Light} is the second strongest power because it is very difficult to lose control over. Not saying it is easy to master, but it is a stable power so you shouldn't generally lose control over it."
"Which one is the most powerful?"
"The concepts are all equal. Between hosts is where the difference is. {Authority} is the one with the most potential. Its roots lies in fear and authority. {Power} and {Growth} are the lesser hosts, not because the concepts are weaker, but because the abilities they wield is. One controls nature, while the other controls fire. {Authority} controls darkness and you, {Faith} controls the light. Light and Darkness are the stronger two, while Nature and Fire are the weaker duos."
"I guess I understand. So, I am the second strongest host." Micah started thinking about what Darkness could mean. Did it mean shadows, or a subconscious thing, where they could influence and strengthen dark thoughts? The more he thought about it, the more he realised how little he knew of even magic. He didn't even necessarily know the limits of Nature. Was it simple manipulation of plant life, or could they summon mountains and things like that? He would need to further study magic to get a deep grasp of what nature magic could do in his world.
"Yes! We do consider {Light} the second strongest, and {Darkness} the strongest. Which prompts me to tell you, Black has been bonded to her host for a few years now. You lack behind all hosts as I was once again, last to find a suitable one. Not many mortals are compatible with me."
"Do you know when I will meet them? Do I have weeks, months, years to prepare?" Micah did feel a sense of urgency. He would try and take their powers without killing them, but he wasn't so sure that the others would. From the sounds of it, the host of {Authority} should be evil but it was all up to debate until he actually encountered them.
"Impossible to predict. It usually takes a few centuries. Remember that you could be on the other side of the known multiverse. But, all hosts unconsciously move toward each other when you travel through different worlds. This cannot be changed or stopped even if you know of it. Your encounter will happen, it's just a matter of when."
"Centuries? Am I immortal or something? I thought this would happen in my lifetime." Micah said.
"It will, as you will be alive when it happens," Blue said.
"I mean, can I die from age?"
"Yes. Hosts that have died of natural causes, like age, usually get to a few million years under their belt. So, you do age, but compared to normal mortals, you might seem immortal as you would be alive long, long after they die."
"Wait!! I'm almost fifteen, will I look this way forever? Will I never have a beard or look like an adult. I don't wanna look like a kid forever!" Panic started coming in waves, he couldn't imagine playing with his potential grandkids while looking just slightly older than them.
"Your body will grow naturally until it becomes mature enough and strong enough to house my full power and presence. Right now, as stated, you only possess a fraction of my power. When you come of age, which should be around thirty years old, you will stop ageing."
"Thank heavens! I thought I would look like a stupid kid all my life. I almost had a heart attack!" Micah did an exaggerated gesture of relief and tried to calm his fast-beating heart.
"Glad to be of service, Master." Blue smiled, yet still a complete emotionless tone of voice.
"Okay, enough history for one day. I should get to planning. How should I start? Wait! Before that, do I need food or water? What about sleep?"
"No, Master. You have started your transcendence into a Concept. Your body grows now out of necessity and it is a side effect of my power merging with you. You do not need sustenance any longer. You also do not need to breathe, you can survive in the vacuum of space. Since Paradise is a place a mortal can't live in, the ruler can not be a mortal."
"Okay, any other benefits I should know about?"
"Your physical prowess has improved immensely. You are stronger, faster and you can endure much, much more than any mortal could. Things that would kill you yesterday will only make you bleed, or leave you with a few broken bones a worst. But do not let this get to your head! As of now, most mages in this world possess more than enough magic to defeat you."
"Then I better not do anything to anger them." Micah smiled out of pure bliss. The fact that he didn't need food made him so happy that he couldn't put his happiness into words. He hoped that he could still enjoy the taste, but just the convenience of not needing sleep or food was a true game-changer.
"Wise choice, Master. If I may ask now, what is your plan? Are you planning on staying here until you master your powers?" Blue asked as she tilted her head. She had seen her Master do this action, and she thought it would serve well to get her intent across.
"No, I don't think that is smart. I want to join a mage guild temporarily. They have knowledge of magic, how to use magic efficiently, and how to counter magic and do battle. I need life experience and I think joining a guild is really safe. And I only know of one." Micah said. His village is close to a big city and he knew from Rufus that it housed a rather popular guild.
"What's its name, Master?" Blue tilted her head again, finding quite a bit of enjoyment in doing so.
"Fairy Tail!" Micah answered with a slight grin.

End
There are MANY benefits and some disadvantages to being {Faith}. As the story progress you will eventually find out what those are. As the chapter explained, and I will explain more detail. He is in the process of becoming a Concept. This means his power is growing, he is not the all-powerful God right of the bat. You will see a semi-gradual growth in strength.
Have A Wonderful Day!
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
