Exact Location: The Star Lord's Villa.

The Star Lord walked to the balcony of his study room and looked up to the sky. He held his hand behind his back and let out a deep breath, taking in the fresh air that blew at him from all sides. As his eyes wandered about, he saw Aurora Skye, his consort and the mother of his son whom he welcomed back into the villa standing in front of a statue.

The statue was extremely tall but it was designed with no face to it. It only had a well-sculptured body part with an outfit, though colorless, it was made with detailed and intricate design. It was a statue that the Grey Landers and believing humans used to visualize the Greyes.

Aurora was clad in a sleek outfit that shimmered with iridescent patterns. The Star Lord watched as she began to pace around the statue, an act the Believers do to feel closer to the Greyes. Her movements synchronized with a hidden rhythm only she could perceive.

As she continued performing the actions, the streaks that were on the statue's clothes began to glow and a face appeared on its head, one with a smile. Aurora went down on both knees and the statue curbed in its position and placed its hand on her head.

Jasper sighed as he realized she, a human who has only spent twenty years as a Believer knows more than himself who has been one his entire life, over a thousand years.

The door to his study slid open and Atlas entered the room. He scanned the room until he saw the Star Lord standing by the balcony. "My Lord, you summoned me."

The Star Lord walked back into the study and sat on his chair. He opened up a book and picked up a pen. "How long have you been serving me?" He asked.

Atlas swallowed and began fidgeting. He cleared his throat and inched closer to the Star Lord's desk. "For a very long time my Lord," he said with a slight shake in his voice. "I dedicated my whole life towards your service."

Jasper nodded. "And I also trust and believe you would never betray me for some worldly desire."

"Of course not, my Lord."

"And I also trust that you weren't the one who sold the information about Aeson to that extremist, Leo Silas, right?"

Atlas paused for a second as if thinking of his reply before finally speaking. "Absolutely not my Lord, I would-- I would never do anything of such."

"I believe you..." The Star Lord's words trailed off. He gripped his chest with both hands and began coughing excessively, almost knocking off the content on the desk in front of him in an attempt to pick up a small round device from his table.

Atlas didn't move an inch for the first few seconds before finally helping Jasper to place the device on his chest. It let out a mechanical hiss and in a few seconds, the Star Lord calmed down. He dropped the device and looked up at his wise man who quickly put on a confused and concerned look.

"You don't seem well, my Lord."

The Star Lord gulped down a glass of water before replying. "You must not speak of this moment to anyone else, do you understand?"

"Yes my Lord… but…"

"No buts and I won't answer any question you have relating to what just happened, so let's carry on."

Atlas bowed. "Yes, my Lord."

The Star Lord stood up from his seat and walked to the window, gazing down at Aurora as she continued her prayer. "I have had enough of Silas," he started. "When he first started, I didn't give him much attention because I believed he wouldn't be a problem, but it seems a weed will always be a weed, so it's time to be a better farmer and pluck out the disturbance in my land."

"Yes, my Lord." The dark-haired man turned and exited the room, already understanding what the Star Lord wanted.

Exact Location: Rooftop of the Sweepers Organization.

Nyx joined the teal green-eyed man on the rooftop with two cups in her hand. She passed one to Liam before also leaning on the railing. "I'm guessing you are also a fan of Roselle juice?" She questioned while giving him the cup.

"Who isn't? It's one of the things I like most about this planet."

She snickered and took a sip of her drink. "So tell me, are you also an Old-born?"

"Well, yes, I guess," Liam replied. "But I was born on the ship that brought humans to Grey Land, so I don't know much about Earth and how we used to live our lives, I've only hear little from stories."

The pink-haired lady nodded understandably. "What about your parents? Are you still with them?" She asked.

Liam stayed quiet for a moment and narrowed his eyes at the owner of JERICHO. "I don't know much about my father as I was told he was killed in a conflict that broke out on the ship, and my mother was kind enough to leave me a note before also disappearing on the ship."

Nyx turned to him sympathetically. "I'm sorry."

"I've gotten over it all a hundred years ago, it's nothing."

"Right."

"Why did you become a Sweeper?" She probed.

"Well, at first it was just to earn enough to make a living because being a Sweeper pays the best, but now I want to uncover the mystery of this planet, I want to put an to the Forbidden Zone."

She stopped and took a sip of her drink before speaking again. "Say, is there anyone that'll miss you if anything happens to you?"

The light brown-haired man raised his right brow at her. "Is that your way of finding out if I am single?"

Nyx threw her head back and laughed out loud. "Let's say I am."

"No, there isn't anyone," he said before turning to the building Zara showed him when they conversed about Cole. "And that's why I can enter the Forbidden Zone without much worry."

"Are you a Believer?" She probed.

Liam veered around such that his back now leaned on the railing. "I feel like I am being interrogated right now," he said. "You've been asking the question and I do well to reply so how about we turn the tables, I'd like to ask a few questions too."

The owner of JERICHO sipped her drink while weighing things before nodding. "Sure, go ahead."

"Alright. You're a Grey Lander, and I have been made to believe that Grey Landers can live for thousands of years, true?"

She nodded. "Then you should know what caused the Inner Core to be infected and where the creatures are spawning from, am I right?"

Her smile faded and she dropped the cup on the railing. "No one asks that question anymore, not even we Grey Landers," she started. "I noticed how insightful you are about these things and that's why I brought you up here to talk in the first place."

She continued. "Listen, you're a human, and like every other human, you want to live peacefully on Grey Land. If you want that to be, then you need to let go of these thoughts and questions you have, focus on the missions given to you, and survive, don't try to dig, trust me," she added before walking away.

The teal green-eyed man scoffed and raised his cup to his mouth, only then did he realize that it was empty. He then turned back to the building and sighed. "I wish I could just ignore it all"

....

The Greyes statue is one of the many mysteries about the Greyes. The way it acts, how it came to be, what it does are all unknown, even to the Grey Landers.
