A big dilemma was in front of me.

It was something very simple, I had an objective thought about this, but I wasn't sure if I could make that decision.

It was quite simple. More simple than one would expect to be a dilemma. But anyone who has ever 'created' something would probably resonate with my feelings.

My chair creaked as I leaned back and placed a hand on my chin. 

On the laptop screen was a word document with all hundred and seventeen chapters of Reversal pasted on it.

Hundred and seventeen. Over the last three months, there were days I wrote more than one chapter, but never a day where I didn't write. 

And the result was this. A place where I wanted to throw away all of that effort.

"I don't know…"

Should I just write a new book for Imperial Path, or should I stick to this book? I knew for a fact that readers on Imperial Path were much less forgiving.

How did I know this? Well, I wasn't an aimless amateur anymore. Unlike before, I wasn't planning to fumble and click on the first site that comes up.

A thorough research of Imperial Path had taken place, and I had made myself familiar with most of the types of books here.

Ok, maybe only reading a chapter or two of the 2 top books is not thorough, but it is research.

"I still can't decide…"

"You fuck."

Little tramp. This system hit where it hurt.

I sighed and hung my head low. It was true. I was a much better author now than I was 3 months back. I had studied diligently and consumed diligently.

The first dozen or so chapters of Reversal were trash. The writing aside, the content presentation and scenes were pretty terrible too. But the concept was extremely fun and engaging, it was unique.

And most importantly, it was something that took a lot of effort from me.

"You know what, system? I think you are right."

[That surprisingly tells me nothing about what you have decided.]

The system had a point.

The plot was fun. The story took effort. I had developed it from scratch. It was my story that was made with diligence and hard work and Bite Novel not contracting it wasn't the fault of the story.

I made an account, and created a new book on Imperial Path. 

The readers here were not only way more than on Snack Novel, they were also more engaged. I had also seen talk about some author drama taking place.

This was a real, proper web novel site unlike the previous one which focused on comics.

If things went well… I would probably be waking up to a lot of reactions. Maybe an overnight success? Haha…

"I am going to post this."

The title and description were copied over. I pasted the first chapter and clicked submit right away.

So I had to wait?

"No choice, let's just go to sleep."

I was going to be an overnight success. Tomorrow was the weekend. I could give more attention to this new start than I thought.
