They’re all good people, and I’m so horrible. I don’t deserve to like them.
“You need to take a rest, darling. We still don’t have news. You better go up to his room and get some sleep,” Jules says. The way she talks reminds me of my mother.
“I don’t think I can sleep for as long as I don’t know where Sebastian is. I’ll wait for him.”
“You need your strength, darling. I don’t think he let you sleep when he comes home. You’ve been far from him for days.” She gives me a teasing smile, and I just blushed, oh God.
“I promise to wake you up as soon as we hear the news.” Trix winks.
“Have you eaten something, sweetheart?” Dad asks.
I don’t even feel hungry. The last time I had was breakfast.
“I’m not hungry, Dad. I just want to know that Sebastian is okay. Then that’s the time I will eat. He’s probably starving or worse, hurt. I don’t know what to do if something bad happens to him.” My chin trembles again.
