37: The Sixth Fiancée

After taking his dessert, Void walked forward, Arcane trailing behind him. "Arcane, are you just going to stay behind me like this, or speak what's on your mind?" Void asked, not breaking his stride.

"Master, are you worried about something? I mean, after the battle, you've been staying a bit quiet," Arcane replied, concern evident in her voice.

"Yeah, kind of. Recently, the way people look at me is a bit weird, you know?" Void said, still walking forward.

"I see. Maybe it's because of your recent actions, but don't worry about that, Master. Whatever you did was not wrong in the slightest. You did what anyone in your place would have done!" Arcane said, trying to cheer him up.

"Thank you, dear. But I'm talking about the recent announcement. Having five fiancées has actually changed the way people look at me. It's not like I have a problem with that; it's just..." Void turned around to face Arcane.

"It's just...?" Arcane prompted, trying to understand what exactly was worrying him.

"It's just... are you all alright with this or not? I mean, I don't care even if the world sees me as a weirdo, but it's just... are you and everyone okay with this? That's what worries me!" Void said, stepping closer to Arcane, his lips inches away from hers. The closeness was already making Arcane go crazy.

"I... I believe in you, Master. You claimed me the day you brought me here. I already decided to do anything for you. Sharing you is not a big deal, as it's not like they'll enter our chamber when we're alone. Having you alone with me in the chamber is more than enough!" Arcane said, moving closer to Void, both of them feeling each other's heat.

"Is that how you've come to terms with it?" Void asked, giving a gentle kiss on Arcane's cheek before quickly turning around. "Alright then, I think there's nothing much for me to worry about!" Void said, trying to hide his embarrassment. Seeing no response from Arcane, he turned around.

"Arcane..." Void narrowed his eyes, picking her up with both hands as she fainted from embarrassment. Carrying her to her chamber, Void thought to himself, "And here I was thinking girls here make the first move. Well, it's not like they see such advances from a man like me outside of fantasies."

After placing Arcane in her chamber, Void stepped out, searching for Marcus to bring him some desserts. That's when one of the butlers approached him, breathing hastily.

"Young Master, you've been called by Milady. There are some guests who... who want to see you!" the butler said, trying to catch his breath.

"Hmm... Who's here now? Is it Her Highness?" Void asked, helping the butler calm down and handing him a napkin.

"Yo, Chocolate Boy! I must say, you look more delicious up close!" Meisheng Shen, the wolf cultivator and Maria's opponent, called out. Despite being young in the underworld, she had a strong influence and had been on equal footing with Maria for the last eight years. Her messy honey-brown mid-length hair enhanced the beauty of her honey-like eyes. As she walked towards Void, her curvy, tall, masculine yet slightly bulky figure emphasized her dominating stride.

As she closed the distance, her ample, round bosom bounced as she rested her hands on her waist. "Miss, can you please maintain your distance?" Void requested.

"Oh? And what if I don't maintain the distance?" Meisheng asked, bending down to meet Void's eyes.

"Then things may not be very welcoming!" Void responded.

"I see! Just delicious. I'm glad I made a good deal!" Meisheng said, cupping Void's face and gently caressing his jawline. "Hmm... You look skinny, but this jawline shows you're masculine and well-maintained!"

Maria charged in, running from behind. "Vortex Wrath!" She was about to land a vortex-swirling slash on Meisheng with her gauntlet's claws. But in the blink of an eye, Meisheng switched positions, making Maria's attack miss and holding Void in her arms.

"What? How did she...? Wait, leave me! Release me!" Void struggled in her arms.

"Shh, my Coco Boy! You're safe. I'm not gonna bite you... yet!" Meisheng said, sniffing the freshly-bathed Void.

"Meisheng Shen! I made an alliance with you to maintain peace in my empire. That doesn't mean you can do anything, especially don't call my baby something like that!" Maria yelled, more annoyed by the nickname than Meisheng's actions.

"I know, but I have my way of naming people! Now let's stop the game. Void, right? Nice to meet you. From today onwards, I'm your sixth fiancée. My rank will change anyways, but that's not important for you, understand!" Meisheng said, closing her eyes. When she opened them, she saw Void had passed out.

"Void...? My cupcake? Is he dead?" Maria punched Meisheng while taking Void back from her arms. All this time, Meisheng's ample bosom had been bumping against Void. "You idiot, keep those milk tanks away from my baby!" Maria scolded, helping Void catch his breath. "Are you okay, dear?"

"Aww, how cute. Tell me, how did these two make you feel? Were they satisfying?" Meisheng asked,

"Cut it out already, you dog-headed woman!" Maria took Void back, shaking his head. "Now go meet him directly at the academy, or I'll cancel the alliance!" Maria threatened.

"No! No! Don't do that. I'm leaving, my cupcake. I'll DM you on Itsagram. Bye bye!" Meisheng said as she left.
