Chapter 2. The Iron Rebellion and more progress.

It been five years after the battle and the realm have been stabilize thanks to the marriage between Cersei and Robert but suddenly last week a sudden rebellion lead by King Baelon Greyjoy from Iron Island attack the coast of Westeros starting with Cape Eagles and it surrounding to the Lannisport.

Cape Kraken was also attacks but thanks to the ship and the wall they were successfully rebelled. This was happen about last year but thanks to Edward preparation for ambushes at the sea he was able to minimize the destruction on his land. With that he inform his brother Eddard who inturn sent a raven to Kings Landing but he instead received a call of arms.

Kings Landing, Small Council.

"Robert, news from Westerlands. The Iron island have rebelled and raid around the coast bringing damage to the realm. The Lannisters ask support" Jon Arryn the one who can call the King Robert report with haste.

"Oh? Is it. That great call all banners and move out. We have some squid to smash" laughing jovially he picks his hammer and walks out. All the council members move at the same time.

Letters were spread out calling out banners from all over Westeros. The North also received the letter and Eddard Stark call his banners to march forward to Golden Tooth. While all the realm move Edward stay behind dealing with any ambushes that the Iron island will stage when all their force concentrate at one place.

"Lord Manderly, what news from Bear Island? Is there any disturbance?"

"Lady Mormont had deal with them thanks for the wall and towers. She was able to secure the small folks while erecting ballistas on the walls. Stony Shores was also secured there's no problem. Our only worries now is, for the safety of our fellow brethren that march to the rebellion"

"Send for Gevarntes, I need him to bring two fleets and blocks any escape and entry of any squid ship. Make sure that our blindspot were filled" Nodding his head he moves out.

All the banner have move out and started the counterattack. From Stormends came Stannis with his ship and fought back all the squid ship with the help of Stark of Moat ships the war seem promising.

Eddard as always lead all his soldiers and slaughter all the squid and kills two of Greyjoy sons leaving behind Theon and his sister.

They move and move from Pyke inland and started their slaughter. Robert brought his hammer and smashed all his enemies head leaving behind twitching bodies. All the soldiers also do the same cutting and dieing in the process.

After a few months the battle come to an end calling the battle as Iron Rebellion.

"Why you bring the squid to my doorstep brother?" Standing towering the boy, Edward ask Eddard.

The battle was over with Eddard having a host from the Iron island. An heir to the Salt throne as an hostage but Edward knew his brother well that he will become a ward.

"He's my host. Now move aside as your Lord demand"

Looking straight at his brother eyes Edward nods and step back. "I hold you to your word. He's a host remember that" allowing his brother roads all the North banner march returning to Winterfell.

"Aish, what a mess. I hope brother will not go soft on the boy" turning around he tooks Jon hands. "Remember boy, Our House Motto have been a Warning. Winter is Coming. Your uncle behavior was clearly getting irritating, he has too much honor. It is our job to look after our pack. You hear me?"

"Aye, I hear you dad" a five name Jon reply beside him. He was already trained simple training like stamina and endurance by his father Edward.

"Good. Now go and continue your language education" patting the boy's back Ed walk to his solar.

Thanks to this rebellion he knows what he lacks for the North defend and this time he will started to filled them. He also making plan on bringing Skagos to the fold. He will bring them in by polite but if they deem stubborn then he will bring winter to the island.

"Ross, I need you to call for Gregory, Alan and Josh. I have something to share with them" waiting for a few hour they arrive.

"Good, I need you Josh to bring a fleet to Skagos and make them bend the knee to my brother if there's any resistance then you knew what need to be done" nodding Josh ride to Bite port where their ship was.

"Gregory, I need to know the amount of money we have in our coffers and how many more loans that need to paid? Tally them then tell me the amount by noon or before sunrise" walking out Gregory comply.

"Alan, how's the harvest for the rice, wheat and our poultry?" Ed didn't waste every single time as he ask anything that need his attention then give orders. "Oh, remember to remind the small folks at Cailin town to always keep spare food beside their initial taxes but not to greedy. Also tell the town keeper to tallied all their earning during every new months"

Done with all the necessary things he laid on his chair and release a huge breath of relief. "Ah, I hope with my effort in developing the North I can gain some form of peace for you, dad, brother and little sister" pausing he pour his drinks with strong mead called firewhiskey. It was strong that it give the illusion of burn throat but it was sweet. "Sadly, little Ben take the Wall. I was so angry at that, that I have to break his right leg but brother stop me to break the other. Don't worry father, I already put it back in normal" muttering to his lonesome he fell asleep on his couch.

Jon walks in and saw that his father has fallen asleep.
