Crowds of people walked by her, but far away from her. At least a meter of distance was placed between them as Avina walked in the streets of the Light Fairy Kingdom. Occasionally, she could hear their whispered words.
"What is a Dark Fairy doing here?"
"That black hair… it couldn't be, could it?"
"Dear Lord, why did they let in such a-"
Avina held her head down. She didn't feel ashamed of Ethera's race. There was nothing to be ashamed about because they did nothing wrong. But she didn't want to see those hate-filled eyes of theirs. Those prejudice orbs of discrimination.
Avina had nearly forgotten about who she was in this world. For the past few days, she felt like any other beautiful girl with extraordinary power. And she was, but she forgot that she was also one of the most hated races in the world. And it was all for a silly reason of speculation. There wasn't evidence, there wasn't proof, but she still had to deal with the hate.
