The king continues his speech

Chapter 24

The king suspended his speech for a moment till Nimako returned from the wash room and then he continued. He was aware he looked strange and everything about him was such that people thought he was not even human though he knew who he was.

He acknowledged the fact that he was a man of wonders but he got scared the very first time he saw Nimako. He told them he believed his people got scared too and that explained why they all run into the bush. When the young girl got closer to them, they all realized she had come from a different planet and they had not seen a human being like her. She looked different from them.

The king continued that the Beautiful Cottage of Life was a place for the destitute; a place where when one came would find refuge. He was not surprised the name was changed from the Beautiful Cottage of Flowers to Beautiful Cottage of Life; for the place gave live to the helpless and the desperate.
