"If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?"
I smile at his question. Our phone calls have been what gets me through every day. But they also make me miss him. It's been two weeks since I left Liberty. "Seafood."
"Wow, you answered that one quickly. Seafood? Really? Any particular kind?"
"Hmm. Probably shellfish, I guess. I love crab and shrimp and muscles. All of it. What about you?"
"Probably chicken wings."
"Such a guy," I tease and wish I could see the dimple I know would be making an appearance right now because when he speaks, I can hear the smile in his voice.
"I know. But I love them. And that one buffalo chicken dip you can eat with tortilla chips? Oh hell, I'm drooling thinking about it."
"You're such a dork."
"That I am. At least I don't order enough breakfast for an army."
"Hey! That proved to be a good thing, yeah?"
"Yeah, I guess it was," he murmurs.
"Wanna know a secret?"
"Of course."
"I just lied. Pizza's my favorite."
