The End

It was the 6th of March in the year 2027, on board the fifth commercial space flight taking regular citizens on a tour of the stars. Sitting in the cafeteria was Kiran an 18 year old boy who was about to finish high school and didn't know what to do with his life. He had gone on this space flight to get some clarity about what he was going to do in the future. "Do you want to know something", a young boy sitting next to Kiran asked. Before Kiran could even reply the young boy had gone on to say, "If the sun was to explode right now it would take about 5 minutes for it to effect the earth" thinking this was a bit of a morbid thing for someone to say while aboard a spaceship, Kiran ignored the kid and decided to return to his room to get some much needed rest.

Looking out the window of his room, he observed how minuscule the earth looked in comparison to the great expanse known as space and how pitiful it was. Kiran sympathized in that his life had been nothing more than pitiful. His parents died in war when he was very young, causing him to be thrown into the foster care system, moving from household to household with no one to properly care for him. In school he was picked on and no one wanted to be around him; this wasn't because he was dumb, fat, or ugly. Kiran was actually quite handsome and was in good shape with an IQ that would qualify him as a genius; however all of this was obscured from the sight of people by his impoverished disposition and lifestyle.

With a long sigh Kiran fell into a deep slumber.

Beep! Beep! Beep! All Passengers Return To Your Rooms And Wait For An Update On The Situation!

Suddenly awoken by blaring sirens, Kiran was in a daze and confused on what was going on. Looking out his window he was stunned, he saw that the earth had changed from the lonely blue and green orb in a sea of debris into a red and black wasteland that seemed uninhabitable. Overcome with feelings of horror and doubt, Kiran disregarded the announcement rushing out of his room towards the captain's cabin. The captain of the shuttle had been a close friend to his father before he died, this was the reason Kiran was even able to join this tour.

When he went into the Captain's cabin he found a middle aged man panicking as he was desperately searching through the huge terminal that guided the ship on its way. Kiran trying to calm himself down went up to the captain asking what was going on. Only after repeating himself 3 times did the Captain hear him only saying, "The pressure and temperature outside the ship has risen an astronomical amount, but I have no idea what could have caused…" Cut off by a huge burst of light coming from the window followed by a large boom, both Kiran and the Captain were gasping as they looked out the window, the pair were horrified to see a empty space where the sun used to be with beam of fire, pieces of planets and asteroids flying in their direction.

In about 30 seconds the rubble had reached the spaceship, causing Kiran to think to himself, "I guess that kid was wrong". A huge bang could be heard, the master computer suddenly cracked and a piece of rubble broke through from the outside, causing a monstrous whole in the captain's cabin. Kiran, filled with fear, suddenly had his vision go black.
