The Board of Monsters

Meanwhile, inside of the deep dark room. Intricate architecture, murals across the walls. A single flowing waterfall in the back. Eighteen different monsters sat around an oval-shaped table. One seat was empty.

"Where is Alucard?" asked a thin wooden figure sitting on the left side of the table.

The leader of the monster group turned to the empty seat. He then turned to his assistant standing next to him.

"Where is Alucard?" he asked.

"She has gotten some trouble with Atlus."

"Atlus?"

"Atlus! Not again! Chin, can't we just kick her off the board?"

Chin was a large, hook-toothed werewolf. His long claws sticking out against his deep brown fur and pitch-black eyes. He looked at the woman talking to him, the stitched-up woman, with bent limbs and broken eyes. She was the leader of the Zombie Gang. And Chin was the leader of the Werewolf gang. And as he looked at all the other monsters, they looked back at him. Their unique monster faces, unique races, unique monster gangs.

Chin stood up, his claws scratching against the long marble table.

"We will have a vote. Who here wishes to remove Alucard from the Board?"

Everyone unanimously rose their hands.

The Demonic Gang Leader spoke out, "she deserves it. Messing with Atlus is like messing with death. We can't let her constant mess-ups affect us."

"Agreed," agreed the Phoenix Gang Leader.

"Same," raised the Spider Gang Leader.

Chin slammed his fist against the table, "then it is decided. Alucard is cast out of the Board of Monsters. Now you all spread the word. She shall never set foot in our territories again.

Alucard was a beautiful vampire. Her fair skin, red eyes, long white hair, and beautifully dressed fashion sense. She stood on the top of a skyscraper rooftop. Her book in hand, with her thick-rimmed glasses hanging on by a thread.

She took them off and placed them firmly in her pocket. An old man walked up behind her, his eyes a golden gleam.

"Are you Alucard?" he asked.

She turned around, "I am."

"Have you heard the news?" he asked.

Alucard jumped down from the rooftop and onto the lower level area. She approached the old man.

"You're a messenger for the board?"

"I am... And I have come to tell you that you have been officially removed from the board, for violating the restrictions and code."

"What code?" she asked back, her red eyes glowing brighter as her fangs started to glisten.

"You entered combat with Atlus. That has put your name and image known. We can not have you associated with us anymore."

She stuck out two of her long-nailed fingers.

[Mind Control]

"Tell the Board this... I have found a boy... A being so powerful that it could change us forever."

The messenger slowly walked away as Alucard turned back around. The dark night moon turning full.

"Shit... That boy... His blood... I need more of it... I need more... More... It was... TOO GOOD!"

Michael woke up from a nightmare in his small one-bedroom apartment. He looked out the open window as the city streets sirened in the night. He flipped up his covers and shoved them over his tired head.

"I can't with this city... Ma... Pa... Pa... Pa... I hope you are proud of me. I hope this was what you wanted for me..."
