Memories

''Holy sh*t, am I still alive? ''

The one who was sleeping peacefully in the middle of this road as if he didn't care about the world was Raydon.

As soon as Raydon realized what was going on, he checked his body to make sure every part was where it should be, and to his surprise, there was not even the slightest scar on his body.

''Is this a miracle?''

Raydon had a fleeting thought that this was the work of supernatural forces, but he quickly dismissed it by shaking his head.

''Nah, it seems like I just got lucky.''

Raydon attributed his survival to luck, and after feeling relieved and excited about surviving the crash that he had initially believed would kill him, he went to investigate the crime scene.

His desire to know the outcome of his work could not be stifled by his fear of being discovered and accused of being the cause of all these events.

Raydon approached the scene slowly and calmly, as if he were one of the curious onlookers, and asked the first person he saw nearby.

''Hello, uncle, what happened here?''

This person, who, like many others, was curiously observing the crash site, did not respond as if he had not heard Raydon's question. Raydon called out to the old man a few more times but got no response.

'Oh, poor uncle. I guess he's deaf.' After giving it some thought, Raydon decided to ask someone else.

He quickly found another one and tried to speak again, but, like the old man before, even though this time it was a young and healthy-looking girl, she did not react in any way to Raydon.

Raydon, thinking the situation was strange, immediately tested it on a few more people and discovered the shocking truth.

He looked around, perplexed, and said to himself. ''No way, so no one can see or hear me?''

This was Raydon's second supernatural occurrence as if surviving the accident wasn't enough. This time, he realized that what had caused this situation had nothing to do with luck.

Raydon didn't have to think long to figure out why no one could see him.

There was only one explanation he could come up with:

''I'm invisible.'' Raydon cried out in surprise and excitement.

''I have heard stories before about people who had rare supernatural abilities, but none of them sounded credible. However, it appears that some of them were real. ''

He raised his clenched right hand slightly, tilted his head, and said proudly. ''I've always known I was special, a chosen one.''

Raydon was wondering what other supernatural abilities he might have and how to use them when he was abruptly jolted out of his fantasy world by a voice.

''Hey, there's someone here.''

''Dude, I don't think this guy is breathing. ''

"This is horrible. The man's chest appears to have been wholly crushed. ''

When Raydon heard what the people examining the crash site were talking about, he was taken aback. He quickly walked over to the body mentioned and froze for a while at what he saw.

''No way.''

Raydon looked at the apparently dead body with strange feelings and said. ''Just when I thought I had gained supernatural abilities and was the chosen one, ''

A strange smile began to appear on his face as Raydon spoke, and he continued excitedly. ''I also got my revenge.''

Looking at the dead body of the person who had so far ruined his life, Raydon started to laugh. But his laughter was soon interrupted by another voice.

''Hey, somebody get over here, there's another body here. ''

''Oh man, it looks like this guy isn't breathing either. ''

''Even the seat belt couldn't save him. His internal organs seem to have come out of his mouth. Disgusting. ''

Raydon was taken aback by what he heard, and a bad feeling came over him. ''This can't be, right? ''

He walked with heavy steps and was shocked by what he saw.

'' Sh*t.''

Raydon felt stupid thinking about what had happened since the car crash. He cried out in shame as he looked at his own lifeless body.

''What supernatural abilities? I'm just a f*cking ghost. ''

As Raydon came to this realization, all of a sudden, the world became gray in his eyes, and time stopped. Soon, the already gray world began to darken, and he lost consciousness as everything fell into complete darkness.

[Back to the current timeline.]

Time until awakening: 00:16:30

Raydon turned to look around in an effort to learn more about his current situation when he saw a notification that said there were only 16 minutes left before awakening.

He was in a small room with just a single bed, a nightstand at the head of the bed, and a small closet. This room reminded him of the one he had rented for a few dollars after losing everything in his previous life. It was plain and ordinary.

He looked around for a moment before looking at the full-length mirror on the wall across the room. He rose from his bed and began walking toward the mirror.

He stood in front of the mirror and muttered confusedly. ''Black hair, black eyes, sick-looking pale skin. This person looks exactly like me, except I look much younger than before. ''

On his right hand, he also had the number 0 tattooed. Raydon rested his hand on his chin and pondered. The first thing that came to mind was that he was in a VR game similar to the ones he had previously played, but while the games he had previously played were close to reality, what he felt right now was not like a game, but reality itself.

He didn't want to consider the possibility that he had reincarnated in a different world or that he had gone back in time after the shame of believing he had supernatural abilities when, in fact, he was just a mere ghost.

He thought his mind was playing tricks on him and was about to have trouble telling the difference between virtual reality and reality when he felt an excruciating pain in his head.

Raydon collapsed to his knees in pain, clutching his head in his hands. When the pain subsided, Raydon lifted his head and looked at himself in the mirror again, his eyes wide with surprise.

''What's this? Did I really die and transmigrate to another world? ''

He wasn't sure if it was transmigration or something else, but there was one thing he was certain of: the memories that came with the sudden headache.
