Seeing both Ulanni's and Sarah's reactions upon peeking out the window, Flint just knew it was not anything good.
Standing up from her seat which was In front of Sarah, she crouched down and made her way closer to Sarah.
Unhurriedly tugging Sarah's gown from the chair, which had succeeded in bringing Sarah's awareness to her and away from whatever it was that was outside the window.
"Go seat In front," Flint said to her.
Sarah turned back to glance at Ulanni in a silent question to Flint.
"She would be leaving there too," Flint answered.
Getting the answer she needed Sarah crawled to the line of the seat In front of her previous chair.
Flint turned back to face Ulanni and tugged on her gown. Ulanni slowly turned to face her with a horror-stricken face.
"Come over here Ulanni, you would be sitting near Sarah in front… Okay."
Ulanni slowly nodded her head still in shock.
As Ulanni crawled past her, Flint slowly stood up and sat on Ulanni's vacated seat.
Turning to look out the window, she was also shocked at first seeing what was out there.
The same tree she had heard Ulanni describing to Sarah as beautiful, was now horrifying.
The tree which was spotted with circles of yellow, was now opened up.
Those yellow spots were eyes. And there were many of them. There were hundreds of deep black eyes with yellow trimmings.
The black eye blinked against the fiery red of the tree's stem and branches of the fire tree.
With the round of the eyes, a murky yellow now opened and fixed on the moving Mussel Mobile.
The rymethmal blinking of hundreds of eyes was a frightening sight.
Most especially when it seemed like almost twenty eyes were fixed on you at once.
It was unnerving to keep staring at the Fire tree, so Flint prived her eyes away from the creature and looked down.
There was a scream from somewhere in front.
Sarah looked up to see one of the children who had sandy brown hair and a rather small build for her age.
This girl was also seated close to a window, she most likely had seen one of the Fire trees with its eyes opened.
The other children, seeing as people kept screaming upon glancing out of the window, started craning their necks to look out.
Back in the driver's cockpit. "Damn, creepy trees…" Sage murmured under her breath.
"Now Sage!" Kabe called out, effectively giving the signal Sage had been waiting for to attack.
Upon hearing Kabe's words, Sage sharply pressed down hard on the red button underneath her thumb.
This made a sheet-like material slide off the body of the Mussel Mobile and in the process gave way to the shoot system which lay beneath it.
There was numerous short round mussel-like, mouthed guns that revealed themselves.
These were called Musket which were powered by a round blue core, which was known as a cerulean ball.
This blue-like ball which was swimming with a mix of light and dark blue energy was what powered the Musket and it was normally called the battery of the Musket by the warriors.
There was a blue wave of light that moved over the Mussel Mobile from front to back. And then sounds of blasts could be heard.
Boom!…boom!...boom.
Sage kept on tapping repeatedly on the button as she turned the steering from right to left, to fire aimlessly.
She didn't need to target them as it seemed they were surrounded by the creatures of the Lava Mountain.
The greatest threat to them was that of the Fire tree, it wasn't really classified as a monster or a plant, as it behaves as both.
The Fire tree could move around with the help of its roots, which were also the one thing one would have to watch out for when coming in contact with a Fire tree.
Once sighted it is advisable to kill the Fire tree before it gets the chance to attack with its roots.
This tree could spread its roots out. It is estimated that the Fire tree can spread its roots to about a hundred feet from all sides.
And the number of roots a Fire tree can have is unlimited.
As Sage kept shooting at the creatures, the various red and yellow dots on the map which signified the creatures, would slowly turn blue.
This was one advantage of the Musket, it had the ability to convert the mana of the weaker creatures which it encountered to its own.
Back in the compartments, the children who were seated close to the windows were now pointing out strange-looking shadows that they had just noticed.
As though sensing there was no need to hide anymore, the monsters slowly prowled out of hiding.
Screams of fright could be heard coming from the second compartment as the children could now see monsters that they had not noticed before emerging from the shadows.
They were of foreign shapes and build, but they all had one thing in common, their fiery red color.
Like predators pinning their prey down, the monsters slowly advanced, and closely followed the Mussel Mobile, as though waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Very close was a monster with high, sharp crowns that colluded against each other on the top and bottom line like a pair of scissors.
With its structure and build that looked like a lion, but differed in the part where instead of a long hairy ended tail, it possessed two.
But these tails were not ideally tails as the tips had the head of a snake, with its head a deeper red and its eyes were abyss black with red-slitted tongues.
Protruding from its neck were two massive heads with blazing fire around its head in the place of its mane.
It had its tongue out which was a deeper shade of red than the rest of its body and even from afar it could be spotted just how rough it was.
One powerful muscular hindlimb landed in front of the other and its mouth opened, which was about a foot wide, with a wrinkled nose and an uplifted chin. It fitted the description of a predator ready to pounce.
