As expressed by the name, this was a device that could be used to delay the metabolic process in the human body.

Veledancio had been hauled into the mansion and up a flight of stairs by some men with Scarlet leading the way with a rigid expression on her face.

The various doctors had also been ordered to follow behind. And they all huddled into a magnificent room, which most of them there had never seen before.

But the grandeur of the room was hardly noticed, with how tense the air was.

The various doctors had each been given a chance to do a check-up on Veledancio Blue.

It has been four days and they had still not been able to come up with the right diagnosis.

The only thing they could deduce was that he had most likely come in contact with something poisonous.

The Blue family had tried to refute the fact that Veledancio was going to give out.

But he didn't live long after the happening. He died two months after his arrival.

And it was only some decades later that the Lava Mountain was discovered.

Then it had been filled with the remains of huge monsters.

The skeleton of the animals could be seen lying around, and from the wounds inflicted on them, it was obvious who had killed them.

But those group of warriors who had stumbled upon the lands didn't leave long as they also died.

And it was rumored that it was the same thing that killed Veledancio Blue that had killed those warriors.

Veledancio had lived longer than those set of warriors because he was more powerful than they were.

Due to the reported deaths of people arriving the Lava Mountain and dying off in two to five days.

Scientists had put heads together and come about a way to beat it.

It was later discovered that some poisonous gases were being excreted by the plants that inhabited Lava Mountain.

That was toxic to humans if exposed to it for an extended period.

The Blue family had been the same group of people to discover the cause and they also worked to find a precautionary measure.

They had come up with the idea of a Mussel Mobile, which would have a great defense and protection system to guard against attacks from creatures of the Lava Mountain and also the poisonous gas.

And this specific type of Mussel Mobile can only be granted on a loan to travelers at the checkpoint.

There were two checkpoints, one before the Lava Mountain, which was located at the exit of Mountain High City.

And the other was after Lava Mountain, which was Misty City where Sage had picked up the children.

In the driver's cockpit.

"It's now I question my sanity when I agreed to go on this mission."

Sage complained as she sat up and crossed her legs.

"It's all right Sage, we all know you did it so you would be allowed a spot as a teacher for this batch."

Kabe said while pressing some controls on the dashboard.

"Just shut it up! Will you?" Sage said with her hands raised in annoyance.

"Just saying…" Kabe threw back.

"Well, I didn't ask you!" Sage bit back. She sat upright as they had just crossed the threshold, and were now officially into the Lava Mountain.

The threshold could easily be spotted as there was a fine line that stretched sideways.

On one side the soil was dull red and to the other side was a murky colored sand with mist atop it.

It was from the splendor that separate the two lands that the Misty City was named.

Once entering the Lava Mountain the first thing that could be felt was the immense heat.

That was one thing the Blue family had not been able to beat during the construction of the Mobiles that would be used for conveyance through the Lava Mountain.

"Ahhh! This feeling of being cooked alive, how I love it!" Sage said with sarcasm in her voice.

Kabe didn't respond to her as he kept his whole attention on the dashboard and the map on it.

Sage raised her wrist and used her second hand to tap on it.

A mini screen had come up on top where there was a band-like wristwatch.

She moved her fingers and scrolled around the blue projection, before finally clicking on an icon and sighing out in relief.

"I must say it was worthwhile buying the stupid Lava Cooler after all," Sage said patting softly on her skin suit.

"Can't you be focused for some minutes and help check out for signs of danger like you are supposed to be doing," Kane said with irritation.

"Don't you dare talk to me in that manner Kabe! I was tasked to collect the students.

And you were tasked with their safety, so any other thing I would be doing is of my own free will." Sage warned.

"Sage, you are supposed to be giving me a hand over here!"

Kabe reminded as he maneuvered the Mussel Mobile to climb atop a specified route that could only be spotted from the map of the Mussel Mobile.

The route was usually called a Life Line by the travelers of the Lava Mountain, As the route had been tested to be the safest way through.

On the map, it was a green line that had curves and turns on it.

On the map, other colored objects were detected and shown in different colors.

The Life Line was green, the weakest monsters were spotted in yellow, the predator plants were spotted in orange and the monsters of the Lava Mountains were shown in the color red.

There were different shades of red on the map, which showed just how strong or weak the monsters were.

The stronger they were the brighter the color indication of them would be.

Sage and Kabe kept arguing as the Mobile kept advancing into the Lava Mountain.

Back in the compartments. Conversations could be heard drifting around from the children.

Most of them had only heard of the Lava Mountain from their teachers back at the first compound and from the books they had been allowed to read.
