FLINT'S STORY 2

At the first sign in the morning, when one of the green moons made its way to hide behind the cloud. She stood up, and dusting her clothes took a last glance at her father's grave, she hit her chest and shouted to the sky, "I am an Akilis warrior!!"

There was stillness after her outburst, turning around and making her way back to the hut, she looked around and picked up a handmade bag, and she also picked some random clothes of hers and squeezed them into the bag.

And coming out she made her way to the back of the hut where there was a makeshift kitchen, leaning her head and going in, she moved towards where her father had always kept the Palo wine in a keg, she picked it up and tied it to her waist, made her way toward the temple.

It was a short distance away from her hut, along the way there were other huts like hers which had once sheltered the remaining survivals of the war, but when they had died they did not tear down the house, looking around and setting her eyes on her very first friend's mansion.

Tidea Had been older than her by at least twenty years, a very wise thing she had been, she had been the last with an affinity to the wind in the small community the survivors had created.

But she was dead now, Tidea had died a year ago, and she would have also been gone in the next maybe twenty or thirty years, but she had been one of the very few and now the last who had been blessed with the gift of a long life, and, she didn't know how long it was.

Looking ahead at the temple that came into view which was green in color and had cravings, that was rumored to be done by Akalikis himself.

The carvings shone a faint green light that had always comforted her ever since she was a child.

Making her way up the stairs, she stood in front of the temple and placed her hands on the door, and willed it to open up to her.

The door to the temple could only be opened up by the descendants of Akalikis when they willed it to open with a pure heart.

That was one of the reasons it had been the safest place to keep the children during the war.

The door opened up soundlessly, and she walked in, the candles on both sides of the path lightened up, and making the path brighter. She kept moving forward until she stopped in front of a small flight of stairs that led up to the small cave which had vines and roots of trees circling its entrance.

Slowly climbing the stairs and as if sensing her, the entrance opened up to her and softly shone a green light.

This was a Portal that had been used to get to any realm, but it depended on the amount of mana the person had.

Without hesitation, she stepped into the portal while clearing her mind, and only chanted the word "human realm " like her father had taught her.

And that was how she found herself in the human realm vulnerable and drained of energy, then she was later found in her human form, to which she had shrunk herself and then she was brought to this compound where Clara had taken a bit of her soul to be able to control her and keep track of her movements.

If she tried moving out of the compound walls she would feel such severe pain, that after the second try, she had given up.

Hearing the sound of shuffling feet she opened her eyes, looking around she realized that she had fallen asleep.

Sitting upright, she saw the pink-haired girl she had warned the other day at Nana's office with her hand stretched forward, and another blue-haired girl beside her.

"Ummm .. we were asked to .. come to the dining for dinner .. and you were sleeping, so I came to wake you up" Ulanni rambled, with her voice shaking slightly.

The only thought that crossed Flint's mind was just how innocent this girl was in this cruel world.

"Umm thanks" Flint muttered, and glancing at the blue-headed girl and nodding at her.

Flint looked around and that was when she noticed that the other children were making their way out already "We should head out with the rest" She told the two girls in front of her.

Standing up and leading the way, her eyes caught some pilled of things to the corner. "That should be the things Black had asked the children to bring in here"

She strode out with the two girls following behind her. Sensing that the pink-haired girl wanted to say something but was hesitating, she paused in her steps and turned around to face them.

"You want to say something?" Flint cocked her head to the side as she asked.

"I um.. wanted to thank you for the other day, at Nana's office... you helped me remember?" Ulanni said sounding unsure of herself.

"To thank me .." Flint asked not understanding why she would thank her for such a little thing.

While writing this chapter and the last I was in tears ... so sad Flint...
