Jack deactivated his battle arena and Green and Derek left his office. It was evening already.
"Derek?"
Green called as soon as they were outside,
"Why do you want to fight against me? I can't even use magic half as well as you can"
"..."
Derek didn't reply rather he kept on walking forward. Green stopped and looked at him from behind,
'You know what? I'll just learn this magic stuff and kick your rude *ss. maybe then, you'll learn to acknowledge me'
"Even if I was handicapped, you can never be a match for me. So just go back to your dorm and prepare for defeat"
Those were the last words that Derek told him before entering the road that led to his dorm.
'Don't worry Derek, you'll get the shock of your life'
Green thought as he walked towards his dorm.
To go to the White Lion House dormitory, one would have to pass the student's park where students stayed to relax during vacations and holidays.
As Green walked past the park, he couldn't help but be amazed at how silent the school was, it was very surprising that a school filled with high school students would be so quiet as the only sound that Green could hear was the crunching sounds of his boots on the ground.
'Aaah... Peace'
Green thought and raised his face up so that he would sniff the fresh air around.
Suddenly, he heard a sound,
*Sniffle sniffle*
'Huh? What was that?'
He thought,
*Sniffle sniffle*
The sound came again, this time it was louder and Green figured that it was the sound of a girl crying, and it was coming from the park.
Green walked into the park to find out why someone would be crying in the park when other students were at their dorms.
When he walked in, he saw that the girl was sitting on a bench facing away from him and she was hunched over while shaking gently, he noticed that she had red hair.
Walking up to her, he placed a hand on her shoulder,
"Hey, why are you...."
He trailed off as the red haired girl turned to face him.
It was Samantha, with red eyes and swollen cheeks from too much crying.
'Dammit!'
Green exclaimed in his head,
'But why is she crying?'
"What's wrong? Why are you crying out here by this time?"
Green didn't know when his voice became gentle as he asked her.
She looked up at him with her swollen eyes and shook her head softly while cleaning her cheeks with the back of her palm before standing up to say,
"It's nothing, really. I'll be leaving now"
She turned to leave but Green held her arm, preventing her from moving.
"Sam, something is wrong. You can't just be crying out here for no reason"
Sam looked back at Green and tears suddenly filled her eyes,
"It's Ryan, he rejected me as his date for the fresher's night, he's going with someone else"
Green facepalmed in his mind and thought,
'I told you Ryan'
Tears began to streak down her cheeks as she said,
"He...he.. told me that I'm too scary for a woman, he said that no one would want to go out with me because I'm ugly, he said that..."
"Shhhh"
Green interrupted her as he placed his index finger over her mouth, she reacted by throwing herself into his arms.
"I'm very sad right now Green, my heart is broken"
Her voice sounded muffled as her face was buried in his chest.
'Something is amiss with this version of Sam, this must be her DID, I'm quite sure that Sam would never let a guy see this side of her'
Green thought as he stroked her hair and her back to comfort her.
He wasn't feeling comfortable with the position they were in but he couldn't do anything because it was providing her some comfort.
After some seconds, she broke out of the embrace and said,
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that"
Green chuckled nervously and replied,
"It's okay."
"Thank you. I'll be leaving now"
She said and turned to walk away but she stopped in her tracks,
"Green?"
She called,
'what?! So she knew my name all this time and she was calling me a rude kid?'
Green thought but he replied,
"Yes"
"Will you go to the fresher's night with me? Please?"
She held her hands together as she pleaded with him,
'I have a feeling something is going to go wrong here, I better stall it for now and see how things are between her and Ryan'
Green thought but she looked so cute and innocent that Green couldn't reject her outrightly, so he said
"Let me think about it"
"Oh okay"
She said with a sad smile and scurried away,
'Women....'
Green thought and facepalmed.

The Next Day,
Green noticed that Sam was still acting possessive over Ryan but it seemed to have reduced a bit, Derek acted like he didn't exist and Laura was sending short glances in Ryan's direction.
'Ohh... So Laura is the one huh? Not bad'
Green thought.
During recess, as they walked to the cafeteria together, Ryan walked close to Green and whispered into his ear,
"She agreed"
Green had to feign surprise as if he didn't know about it,
"Really?!"
He yelled, taking it a bit overboard.
"Shhh! Calm down bro"
Ryan said and used his index finger to press on Green's lips, Green quickly turned his face away.
"Sorry"
Green whispered back with a smile on his face,
"Better"
Ryan whispered back,
"How did you manage to go about it?"
Green asked, not because he was interested but because he just wanted to maintain the pretense.
"I have my ways, Green"
He said in a feigned deep voice and they both laughed loudly
"How did Sam take it?"
Green asked though he knew fully well how she felt because of it,
"Well... She didn't take it so well but she'll get over it. She always does"
Ryan replied,
"So have you thought about going?"
"..."
Green paused for a while as he remembered the events of the previous day, he didn't feel that it was wise to tell Ryan about it so he replied,
"Yes I have"
"Are you going to be there?"
"Maybe, I have someone in mind"
Green said and looked up at Ryan,
"Who?"
Ryan asked and looked back at him.
