I was sitting at the dinner table with my father, 2 stepmom's, and 3 siblings. They were talking about childish stuff I didn't pay too much attention to.

'I kind of miss pancakes and soda. Not together though that's a weird combination. I can make pancakes that's easy I have no idea where to start with soda.'

"Father, I want to start my sword and magic training," Jake said as he was imitating fighting with a sword.

"I want to start to." Twins said almost yelling.

"Jake you can start. I was planning to get you an instructor soon anyway. Tim and tina you guys are too young so you can only watch." Nick said by the end of his sentence he looked at me to see if I had any interest in it.

He started talking some more but I ignored it. Once I was done with my food, I got up made eye contact with him bowed, and left.

[Nick pov]

I'm watching the back of Winston as he leaves the dinner table and I can't help but think he's too mature for his age. It's also weird that he also doesn't talk I wonder what's that about.

"Dad, how come Winston don't talk," Tina said as you can see the question mark on her head.

"I'm not sure little one, I was thinking of getting a physician tomorrow for him to see if anything is wrong." Nick said but he didn't think much about it.

"It's too bad his mother passed away. She could probably get him to talk." the first wife said with hidden venom in her voice, but you could see a slight smile on her face.

Now there was just an awkward silence.

"Well, Jake are you excited about your training," Nick said....

[MC pov]

Sally and I were walking back to the library and she started asking questions.

"Young master how are you feeling this afternoon," Sally said.

I just made eye contact with her, it's like she can tell what I'm thinking and how a feel.

"Bored. I can understand that young master." Sally said with an understanding expression.

Once we reach the library I just looked at her.

"I understand young master, I will tend to my other duty's." Sally said while bowing and opening the door.

Sitting at the desk I think about the knowledge I received from my wishes. I review them nonstop since I got here, I can't wait to try them out. I've been trying to make the [woodclone] but I guess I don't have enough mana. So I'm gonna shift gears and just work on [rune magic].

I grabbed five books at random and selected a random page. I wrote a rune that when someone looks at this page the words would look all jumbled like they have dyslexia, I repeated this process a couple of times. When I was done with that I check a bunch of books again to see if there is anything related to [rune magic] but I couldn't find a thing. I started to feel sleepy so I went to my room for bedtime.

I woke up in the morning and did my normal ritual of taking a shower and getting dressed by Sally.

During the afternoon I got called to Nicks's office.

Once I walked in I see Nick sitting behind his desk and an old white man with gray sitting in a chair.

"Winston this is Lewis he is a physician. Lewis this is Winston my third son." Nick said.

"Hi Winston, like your father said my name is Lewis but you can call me old man Lew." lewis said with a smile on his face.

I just looked at him and nodded.

"Your father says you can't talk so how about you sit down and let me take a look at you." lewis said

I went and sat down on another chair. I watch him walk over to me. First, he put his hand on my neck to see if he can find anything. Then he put his hand on my head, I could feel mana going through my body.

'I guess this is how they check for things in the human body.'

"Well I checked his body, but I can't find anything wrong with his body. I can only think it's a phase or something else."

"Mhm, alright Winston you may leave." Lew said with question marks in his eyes.

[Nick pov]

I watched as Winston left and looked at old man lew.

"So what do you think."

"Well, nothing is wrong with him physically so he could be just refusing to talk." lew said.

"What about his mana capacity." I said with an expecting look.

"It's on the low side but he's still young so who knows." lew said while looking down casted

"It's not like I'm expecting much from him any way he's the child of a political marriage." I said with an indifferent voice.

"Master Vander before you jump..." Lee said but he was cut off before he could finish, because he felt pressure on him.

"Old man Lew I don't need you to tell me how to raise my kids. You may leave now." I said because I was getting mad I never liked people telling me what to do.

As he walked out I thought to myself about what to do with Winston. He's a smart kid but he's weak at least for now he is. Can't forget he not even one yet because he is so mature.
