Chapter 5

"He is a cultivator. Of Course, he can do something like telling me if I am standing outside." She tried to reassure herself. But what the ignorant lady didn't know was that this was not a power cultivators normally had. Only the most powerful could communicate with the air, the earth and understand their surroundings truly.

When Olivia entered, her gaze fell upon Aeger. She was at first surprised, as he was in the shell of a young boy. She then slowly approached him, and bowed, showing the respect everyone showed for the sect representatives that day. Then she asked, "Sir, will you give me the honour of being your student." She completely knelt.

Aeger was amused. He asked her, "Why do you think a thirteen-year-old like me is a cultivator?"

She replied, " I know everyone in this town, it's a quite small one. I have never seen you before. And, in the church, you disappeared without a trace, something only cultivators can do. I heard that some cultivators even stay young forever. I really want to be a cultivator. It is my lifelong dream. Please guide me, I know that physical cultivation doesn't even require talent."

"You may have the talent, you may not; but you will not have the perseverance to be my student. It is a very painful path to become a cultivator. That is what no one wants to see. Everyone always sees the nice lives they live, but not the hardships they face."

Olivia beseeched, "Oh cultivator, I am well aware of what is in store for a cultivator, my parents were cultivators after all. I seek revenge, I wish that none will share the fate I do. Please, teach me."

"One month."

"Pardon?"

"I will guide you for a month, and then, if you are suitable for my techniques, I will allow you to follow me."

"Thank you, lord. Where will my quarters be?"

Aeger laughed sheepishly. He was broke after all. He replied, "Wait for a while, I will arrange for accommodations. For now, practise this technique." He put his finger on Olivia's forehead, and with a flash of light, Olivia could see countless runes, and a title uniting them all - 'Heavenly God Art'.
