(CHAPTER 35: HALF BREED VILLAGE)

I am completely surrounded by kids, overturned by them. I immediately pluck up a bunch of wild flowers near me, peel off the petals and ignite the bud, creating colourful sparks that seems exceptionally beautiful in the never-ending night of The Moon. I hand it to the half breed kids, one for each. "Kids, you like them?" Fei was carrying two kids on his shoulder. He seems to be enjoying his time here. "I don't know, the fact they swarm kinda freaks me out." I let out a deep sigh of relief seeing the kids playing on their own. I had been haunted by them for the past hour since we step foot in the Halfbreed village of the Moon's south side.

The village was quite large, more like a town. With a mixture of half breeds and pure breeds, with the half breed taking up two thirds of this areas population. The streets were bustling, shops of all kind and pedestrians filling up the street, the Moon's economy is at its finest here. At here the half breeds can finally show their true self, instead of hiding within the shadows in the human world. At here they can finally find their own place in this world, they can finally be themselves. According to Fei, the people here are people that are saved from the human world. Sometimes maybe the darkest place isn't the worst place to stay after all.

"Where is Aiko by the way." I asked, this is the main reason why we are here. "There." He pointed at a cabin nearby. "Off you go buddy!" Fei lowered his body and let the two kids down to safety. "Good bye uncle Fei!" One of the kids shouted before running back to his caretaker. "Uncle." I let out a scoff. "Just how old are you?" "It is a long story, you could call me grandpa if you wanted." Fei joked, or so do I think he was, and together we head towards the cabin.

"Rey!" The moment we step into the cabin she pounced onto me as the two of us fell down. "Shit, kid." Fei immediately walk away from me, staring at me in disgust. "Damn the heat." I tried to argue but with this situation I can't, not when she is rubbing her damn cheeks on mine. "I miss you Rey!" "Alright enough you two twats." Fei approached and pulled us apart. "Had some attitude in public, especially in front of a single men!"

"Kids these days, energetic as usual." An old woman let out a chuckle. She is a frog, I mean literally a frog walking on her hind legs. With green, slimy skin and a white, formal, nurse attire. Alongside him is another frog, except he had a goatee and is wearing a doctor's cloak. He is holding a fish bowl, with a jellyfish in it. The seems like a couple, and seems to run this place. "Luckily Jilly is able to save her. She is in bad condition when she arrived." He shook the fish bowl as the jellyfish raises its tentacles in pride, Upon closer inspection, the jellyfish seems identical to the one he meet at the healing chamber, same species I guess?

"So, she is safe to go right?" Fei ask, holding a bottle of whiskey in one hand and stopping Aiko from pouncing onto me again with another. "Well yeah she is." "Thanks doc." With that he literally drag the two of us out from the cabin and into the streets. "Wonder how will I be able to take care the two of you for the next two month. Hope you can finish your test fast and fuck off." Fei shook his head, taking another gulp of whiskey to calm himself down. Oh did I forget? Fei is tasked to take care of us until we finished the test. And speaking of test…

"What test?" Aiko asked, staring at me. I shake my head, signalling that I had no clue at all too. "The test, is to make you two stronger, to avoid you getting penetrated like a donut or smoked like a bacon." Fei mocked. "And how do we do the test again?" I asked, getting fed up with him trying to hit around the bushes. "You see at here, we had our own education and military system, just like humans at the Sun." Fei explained, his face is a bit red on the cheeks.

"Yeah?"

"While you got schools like. Grades, kindergartens, preschool, stuff like that…"

"Just, just straight to the point!" I am getting a little impatient.

"We got a big ass Academy here." He finally got straight to the point. "You two are joining in. You will learn everything about here, the world, history and yourself right there."
