Amanda Smith came out of the tent and immediately saw Samuel Johnson not far away.
People are really strange. Just a few days ago, she was willing to live or die because of his heartlessness, but now, seeing him, she actually felt an eerie calmness. His figure and face no longer stirred the slightest ripple in her heart.
Her heart had truly been shattered by him, to the point where it couldn't even hurt anymore.
She withdrew her gaze and saw Evan Willow waving at her to come eat, so she smiled and nodded, saying softly, "Sure."
The sunlight was warm on her skin, and the crowd around her was bustling. Amanda cradled a bowl of porridge, sipping it carefully, her eyes somewhat vacant as they fell upon the noisy throng in front of her. She kept a gentle smile on her face, but it only seemed to fracture when she was alone.
She ate by herself for a while before setting the bowl to the side. The porridge contained pieces of meat, and it made her feel sick.
She had lied to Evan Willow.
