Delusion

Glitch is running through the underground system.

Glitch: Time to buy some fucking time.

He throws an EMP device on the ground and activates it.

We cut to Mia and her team entering the underground system as their headsets turn off.

Mia: Comms are out.

Mia: Spread out and find this fucker, okay?

We cut to Lia and Whitehat.

Whitehat: Okay, so what the fuck are we going to do now?

Lia: Let's just get out of here and meet up at the safe house.

Whitehat nods, and they go their separate ways in the underground system.

Mia (yelling): COMMS ARE BACK UP!

As Glitch sees Mia walking down the tunnel alone, he waits around the corner.

As she goes to check the corner, Mia feels a cold gun on the back of her neck.

Glitch: Do not move, do not make a sound, and do not press the radio button.

Mia: Who are you? What do you want?

Glitch takes Mia's gun from her and shoots it four times on the ground, then takes her radio.

Glitch: Say, "Target down."

Mia: What?

Glitch: I said, say "Target down."

Mia: I won't—

Glitch pushes the barrel further into the back of her neck.

Mia: Target down.

Glitch puts down the radio and crushes it.

Mia: Who are you?

Glitch: im Glitch.

He knocks her out with his gun and runs to one of the exits.

Flashback 2027

Mia: Okay, that was freakishly fast. How in the hell—

Agent K: Saw his escape on the news.

Mia: Okay, and how did you know to come here?

Agent K: I researched you. There's not a single chance you would let a suspect knock you out and escape. So I assumed Glitch convinced you somehow to help him.

Glitch: And so he hacked your phone and got here.

Agent K: Wasn't too hard after everything we've done.

Glitch: I guess not...

Agent K: Well, this was nice. (He pulls out a gun and points it at Mia.)

Mia: YOU BASTARD!

Glitch: K... no need to worry.

Agent K: You sure she isn't S.H.A.D.E?

Glitch: I'm sure.

We cut back to the present

The Oval Office

The President: So you're telling me the #1 most wanted on the FBI list got killed, and you didn't capture the killer... after he took her body with him, ran through tunnels that you didn't even know existed, and what else?

FBI Director: We also found a couple of bodies in a warehouse. It seemed to belong to an agency or organization of some sort.

The President: This is giving me a fucking headache... leave.

FBI Director: But, Mr. President—

The President: Fucking now!

As the FBI Director leaves the room, the President is alone in his private office when the door opens.

The President: What is it no—

As he looks up, he sees Glitch with a gun. Glitch rushes to the President, putting one hand over his mouth and holding the gun to his head with the other.

Glitch: Hello there, Mr. President.

As the President tries to reach the button to call the Secret Service, Glitch takes it away.

Glitch: Now listen here. I'm going to shoot you in the head and... actually, I don't have anything else Planed.

Just as Glitch is about to pull the trigger, a Secret Service agent walks in.

Secret Service Agent: MR. PRESIDENT!

Flashback a couple of hours ago

Glitch on the phone: So can you get it done?

Voice: Are you fucking kidding me? I'll be executed if they find out I let you in.

Glitch: They won't find out.

Voice: The answer is no.

Glitch: Is that what I said when you asked me for help?

Voice: Fucking goddamn it, Glitch, I can't do this.

Glitch: You owe me.

Voice:Fine.

We cut to Washington, D.C.

Glitch: Great to see you again, Mike.

Mike: Wish I could say the same.

Glitch: Oh come on, don't be like this.

Mike: I could get killed if I do this.

Glitch: It's fine, don't even worry about it. If they can't catch me, they can't pin me on you.

Glitch: All you need to do is get me inside.

Mike: And you aren't gonna kill him?

Glitch: I promise I won't. I'm gonna give him a good scare though.

Mike: What did I get myself into...

Glitch: I did you a favor back then. You would've died if I didn't.

Mike: Goddamn it, Glitch, I hope to God you know what you're doing.

As we see Mike and Glitch head inside the White House, Glitch is in handcuffs.

Main Guard: Whoa there, who's this?

As Glitch pulls out a gun and shoots a sleeping dart at the main guard.

Mike: Goddamn it, Glitch.

Glitch: We don't have time. Take me to his room, let me do my thing, then come in, bust me in the act, and I'll run away. You'll be a hero, and I'll have the target on my back.

Mike: This plan is shit, but I'm already in too deep.

As Mike and Glitch make their way to the Oval Office, they are outside as the FBI Director comes out and sees Mike. Glitch runs off and hides behind a corner.

As the FBI Director walks away, Glitch runs quietly to the door and goes into the office.

As Mike hears a struggle coming from inside, he hears Glitch give him the signal and rushes in.

Mike: MR. PRESIDENT!

As Mike rushes in and gets Glitch off the President, Glitch starts running away.

The President: GET THAT MAN!

Mike: Are you okay, Mr. President?

The President: Young man, you saved my life.

Mike (in his thoughts): I can't believe this plan worked. Just need Glitch to get away.

Flashback 2027

Mia: Okay, so you're telling me you got into the Oval Office to fake a failed assassination attempt on the President... just to save your sister?

Glitch: Well... she did save my life, and also, it's my sister. Why wouldn't I?

Mia: Just surprised.

Glitch: Okay, we don't have time for this.

Glitch: So, the hard drive?

Agent K: Yeah, about that...

Mia (in her thoughts): What are they talking about...? What hard drive?
