*Viewers Discretion is adviced*
♡ Nia's POV ♡
I regained consciousness, blinking in the dimly lit room, disoriented and in excruciating pain. My body ached, and I realized I was restrained, tied tightly to a chair. Panic surged through me as I tried to scream, only to realize my mouth was taped shut. Struggling, I attempted to free myself from the restraints.
As I grappled with my bonds, fear and confusion clouded my mind. I couldn't recall how I ended up in this unfamiliar place. The images of Guzman getting shot and three menacing figures closing in on me flooded my memory, adding to my terror.
Amidst the darkness, a shadowy figure emerged, swaggering toward me. His touch ripped off the tape covering my mouth, causing me to wince in pain. I mustered my courage to warn him, "Don't touch me. If Juan finds out about this, you're dead meat."
Mockingly, he responded, "Oh, really? What's he going to do?" His menacing tone sent shivers down my spine. Before he could proceed, another person entered, interrupting our tense exchange.
"deja de coquetear con su Luis," he commanded. The confrontation momentarily ceased, leaving me breathless with anxiety.
"What do you want from me?" I demanded, desperate for answers. However, the figures remained silent, their intentions shrouded in mystery.
"You do what we say, and the boy survives," one of the men declared, his voice laced with a threatening undertone. Confusion clouded my mind. "What boy?" I demanded, seeking clarity in the midst of their cryptic words.
Before I could receive an answer, the distinct sound of heels clicking against the floor echoed in the room, interrupting the tense atmosphere. A voice broke through the silence. "Diego," she spoke, and the name sliced through the tension, sending shivers down my spine.
"Mencia?" I gasped, my shock palpable.
Mencia's laughter echoed through the room, a bitter melody that cut through the air. "Who do you think you are? Coming into Juan's life and taking everything from me," she taunted, her eyes filled with a mix of resentment and hostility.
"This is SanCasas, you don't come in here taking what's not yours," she continued, each word laced with disdain. Confusion and fear gripped me as I tried to make sense of her words. "What do you mean?" I questioned, desperation creeping into my voice.
Mencia scoffed, revealing a cruel smile. "I see Juan hasn't been really honest with you," she remarked, relishing in the revelation she was about to unveil. "Why do you think Juan took you captive at first? The plan was for him to use you and then hand you over to me," she disclosed, a chilling laugh escaping her lips. "Then he suddenly changed his mind, telling me he's in love with you and he couldn't watch you get hurt," she added, her fingers scratching my face with a menacing touch.
"Diego! Please, spare him; he's just a kid," I pleaded, desperation seeping into my voice. "What do you want from me? I'll leave Juan and the contest," I offered, hoping for a glimmer of mercy.
"That's too late, Nia," she declared coldly, a tiny bottle appearing in her hand. "See, Diego is poisoned, and if I don't give him this antidote in 30 minutes, he dies," she stated, revealing the cruel game she had set in motion. "Please, Mencia, I screamed, please, I begged," my pleas hanging in the air, desperate and unanswered.
"There's something you can offer; then, the boy survives," she said to me, her words hanging in the air like a chilling ultimatum. "I'll do anything," I replied, desperation seeping into my voice.
"Fine," she said, a sinister smile playing on her lips. "Come on in," she beckoned, leading me into a room filled with an ominous atmosphere. The same lady from the lab, the one who had handed me the tray of gruesome instruments, walked in with her partner.
"Take off your clothes!" Mencia yelled at me, her voice harsh and demanding. Fear clenched my heart as I hesitated, the reality of the situation sinking in. "What are you going to do?" I questioned, my voice trembling with a mix of terror and disbelief.
"You offered your life," Mencia stated coldly, her eyes void of any compassion. "I took over Daddy's business," she revealed, a wicked satisfaction dancing in her gaze. "I sell human organs," she confessed, the revelation hitting me like a wave of horror. "Now I need yours; I have buyers already," she declared, the true nature of her sinister motives coming to light.
It all made sense now, connecting the dots from the beginning. I stood there, naked and vulnerable, as they drew symbols on my body with red markers, marking the beginning of a horrifying ordeal.
I felt a chilling shiver run down my spine as Mencia touched the marks on my neck, a cruel reminder of Juan's violence. Their actions were as cold as their intentions. Finished with the markings on my body, Mencia's orders cut through the air with a stark cruelty that sent a wave of terror through me.
"Take her to the butchering room," she commanded, her voice devoid of any empathy or remorse. Her words felt like a death sentence, plunging me deeper into a nightmare. "Tell Marco to make sure the face's intact. We have a special buyer for that, and it's more expensive," she stated with a detached air, as if discussing a mere transaction.
The casualness with which she spoke about such horrifying acts sent a chill down my spine. I was being led like a lamb to the slaughter, with every step taking me closer to an unimaginable fate.
Immediately, I found myself thrust into a nightmarish room, surrounded by the three ominous figures responsible for Guzman's death. Their menacing presence sent shivers down my spine as I gazed upon their frightening faces. The gravity of my situation sank in – if Mencia could callously kill her own brother, what mercy could I expect?
The room itself was a grotesque spectacle, filled with the ghastly remnants of human parts. The air was thick with an acrid odor, and the scene before me threatened to overwhelm my senses. The gruesome sight stirred an overwhelming nausea, and I fought the urge to vomit in revulsion.
"Sedate her," one of the butchers ordered, prompting the lady to produce a syringe. As the needle approached me, a sudden revelation halted her actions. A horrified expression crossed her face, and she exclaimed, "Oh no, this is bad"she muttered, her voice trembling.
