Chapter Twenty-Six

My week of my heat was finally over and I was back to normal. While I love mark and being intimate with him was wonderful, having a death threat hanging over my head and all this intense lust was rather unwanted.

I loved sleeping in mark's arms every night and being able to feel so loved. With every day that passes I find myself more and more reassured that I made the right choice in loving Mark. Tonight is the night before our wedding day and it was killing me to have to be away from my mate.

Violet was spending the night with me while her mate, Ian, stayed with Mark. I knew that Violet would prefer to spend the night with Ian but she was making sure that me and mark abide by tradition and don't see each other until the wedding tomorrow.

When Violet heard about Mark proposing she had launched into wedding plans with their mom. They wound up deciding that the wedding should happen as soon as possible, but also thought that it should wait until after my heat ended. So now I was stuck wishing I was back in Mark's arms and knew that Violet wouldn't allow me to be.

"Come on! Don't be so glum Sasha! You know I miss Ian just as much as you do Mark, besides it's only one night."

Right, because that makes things sooo much better. Just because it's one night means very little to me and she knows it too.

'It's your stupid human traditions that got us in this mess! If you were just a werewolf and mated to a werewolf then there wouldn't need to be a marriage, yet alone this wait to see our mate.'

"I thought you loved mark?"

'I do love Mark, but that doesn't change the fact that the wedding is a stupid idea, but especially this whole being away from our mate bit.'

"Sigh, I agree wolf, I miss mark too."

"Talking to your wolf again Sasha? I know that she can't be too happy about being away from her mate, but this is the way us faries show our never ending love for our soulmates to the whole kingdom. How about you tell me all about your stay here? You know I'm just dying to hear all about how you wound up falling for my brother."

I smiled at her enthusiasm and then launched into my tale. After I told her everything, she was beginning to look rather tired.

"Maybe we should go to-"

I didn't get to finish my sentence because I felt my stomach upheave. I ran into the bathroom with Violet following close behind. Violet held my hair back and turned her head to the side as I emptied the contents of my stomach. When I was finished I flushed and brushed my teeth to get the vile taste out of my mouth.

As I walked back into my room I found Violet looking as if she was deep in thought while sitting on my bed. When I walked in front of her she seemed to snap out of it, but then she reached her hand towards my stomach. I thought it was odd, but even stranger as her hand began to glow. When the glow stopped she removed her hand and looked up at me with an adoring smile on her face.

"Congratulations Sasha! You are pregnant with a beautiful baby girl! Oh, Mark is going to be so happy when he hears about this!"

Oh, no! A child is growing in my stomach! What will Mark think? Does he even want to be a dad so soon?

"Stop stressing Sasha! Mark will be thrilled to find out he is going to have a beautiful baby girl! In fact, come with me! We need to let him know right away. Oh, he is going to be so excited!"

I had no chance of even thinking of declining as Violet dragged me out of the room and towards the master bedroom that me and Mark usually shared. Inside we found Mark glaring at Ian.

Yes, I was temporarily staying back in the room where I had been staying before mating with Mark. It still had a large part of my clothes in it and was still set up so I could stay in the room at any time I wanted. There were clothes in the master bedroom, but much less then in my own personal bedroom. The clothes in the master bedroom had more lingerie and less revealing clothes to wear out and about. Since I was mated it wasn't wise for me to wear revealing clothes around other people, not that I even enjoyed wearing that type of stuff anyway.

When Violet looked at Mark and saw him glaring at Ian she rolled her eyes before launching into her speech.

"Stop glaring at Ian, Mark. You get to see Sasha now, anyways, at least for a few minutes. Guess what, Mark? Sasha is pregnant with a little baby girl! Isn't this so perfect? Now you'll be able to get married and then not long after have a little baby girl!"

Mark's face lit up with Violet's words and I soon found myself being swung around in a circle by mark.

"I'm so happy and it's all because of you my beautiful little mate!"

Hearing his words is so reassuring and my own face quickly lit up as well as I smiled. After that revelation Mark wanted to leave me even less, which Violet really should have thought about beforehand.

Mark wound up trying to throw both Violet and Ian out and keep me for the night. Ian relented, but Violet wasn't going to give up so easy, but with a kiss from Ian and him carrying her out of the room, the issue was resolved. Now, I had mark all to myself and I could finally sleep in peace.

"You were worried or upset weren't you? Do you wanna talk about it?"

Mark's words dragged me from the sleep that I was quickly submitting to after we first lay down on the bed. It was hard to concentrate on answering his question when his arms were so comfortable and I was so tired, but I managed.

"It's nothing, really. I was just worried that you might not want kids. I don't even really know why."

He frowned a little before straddling me and kissing me. When he pulled away for air, he rolled over, pulling me on top of him. There I heard him whisper.

"I love you Sasha and don't worry I'll love that little girl just as much. You'll both be my life, my pride, and my joy. I can't wait to get married to you Sasha, but for now I'll be content with you sleeping here, next to me."

I smiled before snuggling into his arms and drifting off to sleep.
