Chapter Twenty-Five

"How much farther do we have to walk? You are torturing me here, Mark. You won't let me do more than hold your hand and then I'm stuck walking a long way through the castle for a surprise date you won't tell me anything about."

His laugh was as lively and joyous as ever as he laughed at my impatience.

"Impatience isn't a very good quality in a queen you know. I just love that frustrated little pout you have on, though. So tempting to kiss that pout away, but you know why I'm not just going to make out with you Sasha. It was bad enough that your first time was so rushed and I want to make sure that the rest of this week is so much better. I promise I'll make it worth waiting to have all that intimacy between us Sasha. Don't worry we're finally here, so give me a smile, please?"

I couldn't help but smile at him, I was just so in love and happy around him.

"Good, now the fun can begin!"

Mark pulled me in through a door to be greeted by a room full of guests. It was immaculately decorated in silvers, violets, blues, golds, and blacks. Everywhere you looked you saw balloons, streamers, and confetti. There was a huge buffet off to the left side and a couple of tables off to that side as well. Then there was the dance floor in the middle of the room where couples danced. Off to the sides people conversed in an excited manner that seemed light hearted and care free.

Up towards the front was a beautiful podium that held an ornate sofa and a fancy table. The sofa was a dark violet with silver painted wood. The sofa was big enough to fit two people so I suppose it was really more of a love-seat. The table in front of it was black with silver trimmings all in a peculiar circle-like shape. The bottom part was twisted like a spring and opened up to the circular surface.

The podium itself was fairly interesting as well. It was a raised platform with steps leading up the raised surface to the seating. The podium was silver and in a half circle shape against the wall. The silver matched the floor of the rest of the room, which was a polished silver and golden color. The walls of the room were all a dark bluish violet color with pillars alternating between gold and silver. It was a rather interesting ballroom, that much is for sure.

"I see you like the ballroom. The colors match both of our features with the violet, silver, and black like your beautiful eyes and hair and the blue, black, and gold like mine. I had it specifically decorated like this for us. Come on, let's go to the podium so we can greet our visitors."

His smile was huge and contagious because it seemed like I could only smile back, even with the nervousness beginning to settle in. When me and Mark reached the podium we climbed up the steps before stopping to face the audience.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen! May I just say what a pleasure it is to have you all here tonight. Now I would like to make an announcement. As you all know, me and Sasha are now mated, but I have, as of yet, to ask for her hand in marriage."

He stops long enough to turn to me and kneel as he takes a little black box out of his pocket.

"Sasha, I love you so much and I want to live the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me, Sasha?"

His eyes were wide and pleading as they searched mine. Searching his all I saw was hope and love, hope that I'd say yes, hope that we'd have each other for the rest of our lives, and love for me that made me feel so complete and like we could make it through anything.

"Yes, Mark, I'll marry you, nothing would make me happier!"

I felt my wolf surge forward and how proud she felt to have such a wonderful mate. As one, me and my wolf leaned forward to give our mate a kiss to seal our promise of loving our mate and only him for the rest of our lives.

Mark and I didn't stay at the party long after we got engaged. Since my heat was getting worse with every hour that passed and Mark didn't have as much against making love to me now, we were up for some alone time.

It was only six o'clock by the time we wound up in our room again, but that was okay since we were bound to use up every spare second we had together. As soon as we were in the room I pulled Mark to me and our lips locked. Mark kicked the door closed and pushed me back onto the bed. Our kisses only got deeper as I tangled my hands into his hair and pulled him closer. This time we took things so much slower and explored every inch of each other. Our teeth nipping and our lips brushing over as we kissed each other, just rejoicing in our pleasure and happiness.

The kisses were sweet, but it wouldn't satisfy us both forever. When we finally began to make love we were both more then ready. Our love making was passionate and full of a hunger for more of each other. We couldn't get enough of and wound up going round after round until midnight when we were both exhausted.

All I could do by that point was sleep even with the lust from the heat still going strong. So I snuggled into Mark and he wrapped his arms tightly around me. Sleeping in Mark's arms was always the way I slept best so I fell asleep almost immediately. I sure hope that I can fall asleep so blissfully like this every night.
