Chapter 3

"I'm scared Magnus, I don't want this to happen to us I mean after all we have been through I can't let anyone take what is rightfully meant to be yours, Sleasea belongs to you and no one else Magnus, please promise me you'll fight for it... You'll fight for me please promise me, I don't want what is in that letter to happen, It sickens me to think another person is fantasizing about touching me and doing all sort of bad things to me when you're not the one, magnus please, do anything to fight for us for my sake, for our relationship, for our children they're still young and I don't want them to suffer... please Magnus..." She begged as she hugged his body tightly. Magnus smiled bitterly as he raised his hand to hug her back.

"I promise I will, I won't ever give you to anyone Alicia, I won't let out children suffer and I won't give up Sleasea, do you trust me?' He asked her and she raised her head to look into his eyes, "I trust you more than myself, you're my one and only king and no one will take that title from you" She said to him. Magnus smiled at her, although it was a smile that didn't reach his eyes. The couple stayed like that for some hours, Magnus eyes rested on his son's casket and a tear slipped down of his eyes. He vowed to get rid of Maximilian, he was going to do anything to have his revenge.

The next morning hadn't been bright like any other day as the people in the castle were mourning their dead prince, even Luna was dressed in a black gown as she dropped a flower on her brother's grave. She didn't know why this had to happen to them, she wished it was someone else apart from her sibling.

Luna went to check on Camille in the dungeon while carrying a small quantity of food that she could carry. She appeared in front of the dungeon that Camille was kept in and knocked on it to wake her little sister up, "Camille, it's me Luna, here" she said softly as she passed the bread in her hand to Camille.

"Thanks sister" Camille uttered as she snatched the bread and started chewing it hungrily, she was given another slice of bread and then another. Luna passed the water bottle to her so she could wash away the food that was surely going to be stuck in her throat because of her manner of eating.

When Camille finished eating, she thanked Luna and also begged her to plead on her behalf to father, "Father isn't at home, he left after Xander was buried I don't know where he is going to but all he said was that he would be back" Luna informed her and Camille's shoulder slumped down in disappointment, only God knows when her father was going to be back.

"What of mama? please tell her to come get me of here, please sister Luna, please, I promise I'll behave like you, I won't give papa and mama pressure anymore, I won't be disobedient" She promised.

"Only if you had done that before, Xander wouldn't be dead but I hope you do stick to your words... alright I'll help you go talk to mama" She said as she stood up to gather her things and go away from there before anyone would see her.

Luna walked into her mother's room to see her staring at the painting that had her brother's picture, anyone would be sad if they heard that Xander had been killed. Xander was her favorite sibling and she loved playing with him but it's just that he preferred staying with Camille because she was more fun than Luna was. And that was why he ended up listening to every word Camille told him and he ended up being disobedient.

When she got closer to her mother, she lifted her arm to caress her mother's back, "Mama I'm sorry, I should have been a better sister to them, I should've warned them about dangers of not listening to you... I'm sorry" she said.

"No honey, it's not your fault, it isn't entirely Camille's fault also, all she wanted was the rabbit and if she had explained to her father that she wanted it, she could've gotten a better one in the market, let's just say someone lured them to it and ended up killing your brother" She spoke as she carried Luna In her arms.

"Who's the person mama, I'd like to get my revenge on him for doing such a thing to my brother, he'll suffer the pain also" she uttered as anger flashed through her grey eyes.

"No no my dear, you can't do that, let's leave that to papa alright... He'll definitely make the person pay times two of what he had done, so Luna just be the obedient child you are and I promise if you do that you'll go far in life... Promise me my dear"

"I promise mama, I'll listen to you... whatever you and papa says is what I'll do" she said promised and leaned closer to kiss her mother's forehead, "Dont worry mama, everything would be alright"

"I hope so darling, you are such a sweet child" She replied kissing the little girl's forehead.

"So mama, can you help release Camille now, she has been staying in that dungeon since last night and hadn't eaten anything at all, you said not to go to bed with an hungry stomach right?" She questioned, "But Luna I'm not in the position to free her, it's your father that put her in there, let's do this, she'll be free for only a short period of time and then she'll return there"

"Okay mama I agree with that, now let's go" She said while hopping down from her mother's arm to turn towards her and dragging her towards the door.
