The seating arrangement was a form of respect and Nessa didn't want to recognize what that meant - Adrian had a higher standing in the family than her. Nessa didn't say anything knowing his presence won't last - her father would leave in no time. She bet he wouldn't even last a week here.
"Prayers," her father said, jamming his palms together as he closed his eyes, waiting for the prayer session to begin.
"Rex honey, please do pray for the meal," her mother said to Rex who seemed like he could die any moment from this towering pressure. It was obvious he was in discomfort from Gary's presence.
