Rescuing Spike (1)

It was the next day. Dennis's friends were discussing of a plan on how to save Spike, but they couldn't think of anything while being in the livingroom.

Meanwhile, Obliviona was in Dennis's room. Waiting for him to wake up with a sword in her hands. She looked at and placed in on the floor. The sword seemed as if was a chain sword but more mechanical as it was a multipurpose weapon.

"For how long are you going to sleep, Dennis?"

Obliviona asked, but she received no response. Moments later, in silence. Dennis woke up and saw Obliviona and a sword that he seems familiar with.

"Hey, where did you get that?"

Dennis asked. He gets out of the bed and picks it up to have a closer look.

"You mean this magic tech sword? I had it stored away. Now seems like a good time to return it."

"Return it?"

Dennis ended up confused on why Obliviona was returning a sword to him.

"Yeah, this is your sword, by the way. Ever since I became a weapon. I never got the chance to keep my physical form for about a minute. Now thanks to you I got like a week..."

Obliviona said.

"Oh? You can be in your physical form as long as you want to, you know? I'm not forcing you or anything."

Dennis then offers a hand to Obliviona. She grabs his hand and gives it a shake. Then a white light formed and freeze time for a minute.

"Whats going on!?"

Obliviona asked. It was the first time she sees time stop. Dennis, however. He felt normal about it. Memories from his past, from the other world, flowed into his mind and remembered what he was capable of.

"Okay... I guess I should go straight to the point... This sword, it's basically a part of me. It contains every known magic from the other world and I would like to share some of it with you..."

Dennis then offers the hilt of the sword to Obliviona. He then waited for an answer for her.

"Wow... I... Don't know what to say, but are you sure about this?"

"Of course I am. Now, do you accept your new form as a sword?"

"Then yes!"

Obliviona grabbed the hilt of the sword, and a mark appeared on it. It then created two versions of itself. One colored in black and another one in silver. They already know what to do, so they preceded by the following. Dennis grabbed the black sword while Obliviona grabbed the silver one.

"Now you can be in your physical form as long as you want and I don't have to call you out for a battle since we share the same sword."

Dennis said. He then made his sword go away to avoid any further conflicts.

"Just call me when you need my help, alright?"

"I'll keep noted."

Dennis said as a response to Obliviona. He then walked out of his room alongside her to go check on the others. When they arrived in the livingroom. They saw they had a white board ready and had written where the initial targets.

"Whats all this about?"

Obliviona asked. Dj looked over at her and noticed that it caught her interest.

"Oh, we're just writing what we're dealing with. So far, we only know the enemy is my future self and the Emperor."

Dj said to Obliviona. They saw Donte was the one writing it all down and was trying to think of a plan.

"Alright, move over and someone get me a drink..."

Dennis said. He walked over to Donte and took away his marker to write on the board. He began by writing Spike's name in the center and connected with the Emperor. Then adding location as questionable spot and that it already has enemies guarding every spot.

"The enemy left by using a portal. Does someone know the color of it?"

Dennis asked. He turned around and saw only Donte, Dj, and Owen. Dwight was not around still, the only thing that Dennis could understand that he was still passed out.

"I think I saw white. Same as the one to the simulation."

Owen said to Dennis. Dennis then wrote simulation on the board. With all that, Dennis could figure out we're is the enemy located.

"Okay, there is a city not far away from our training ground in the simulation. We can start exploring in a few hours."

"But wait, don't we need a plan or do some preparations?"

Donte asked. Dennis looked at him and pointed at the couch for interrupting him.

"Now, I'm going to make something clear. In order to get our friend back. We need a wild card up our sleeves."

Dennis then wrote a wild card and Dwight next to it. It confused most of the group that made them wonder why is Dwight the wild card. Dj then raised his hand.

"Why is he the wild card?"

"Simple, the man almost killed me by reflex alone by activating his elemental overdrive."

Dennis said. He then placed the marker away and looked at the clock. It was nine a clock in the morning and he realized he went by two days of not eating anything. But he ignored it and continued with the pressing matters.

"Does someone have a question before any of us head out?"

As Dennis asked. The only that wanted to ask something was Owen. He stood up and called out his weapon, took aim at Dennis, and waited for his next move.

"Give me a reason we should do this?"

"Because if we don't do something, our world will fall. There is a way to restore it before it all even happened."

Dennis said.

"Oh please. That simply asking to use a time machine."

Owen said. Dennis looked at him with an honest look.

"Oh, you're not joking."

Owen then calls off his weapon and apologized to Dennis.

"Look, I'm have a strange feeling ever since we got back and I think whatever happens here will move to the other world."

Everyone then thought of the same thing. But there was one thing that they all realized, and only Donte had the courage to say it.

"Bro, it's been only three days, and you almost died three times. You got to be careful, man."

Donte said.

"Don't worry. Only a menace can kill another menace. It is the first rule in the book..."

Dennis then showed the book to his friends and saw that it had nothing in it.

"Um... There's nothing written here..."

Dj said.

"That's because only a menace can read it, but you should be able to see the side sections to magic."

As Dennis mentioned it. The book was passed from Dj to Donte and it ended up in Owen's hands. He saw the side section that Dennis was talking about and he pressed it. When he pressed it. A white light covered his body, then vanished the second he felt a slight shock on his body.

"Are you okay?"

Dennis asked. He then took the book away from Owen and made it disappear into thin air.

"Yeah... I just felt that something got on me..."

Owen said. Dennis was curious about what Owen said, and thought of attacking him with a magic spell.

"Hmm... I guess there is one way to find out..."

Dennis then cast a normal fireball from his right hand. He throws it at Owen and saw that it got absorbed.

"I guess you somehow learned magic without even reading. Furthermore, I think we are ready."

By the time Dennis finished talking. Dwight showed up and was wearing a black and yellow track suit. As if he was ready to go for a run.

"Hey, what did I miss?"

Dwight asked. It surprised everyone that he showed up ready for action.

"We rescuing Spike. You in?"

Dennis asked.

"Heck, yeah!"

Dwight said. He felt excited. He wanted to get into a fight as soon as he can.

"Alright then. I guess we're set. If someone has questions. Make them along the way. We leave. I'm thirty and I'm not holding back this time..."

Dennis then left to get himself ready. So as the others. As thirty minutes pass by. Everyone was waiting by in the room in front of the door to the simulation. The ones standing in front of it were Dennis, Dj, Owen, Donte and Dwight. The rest stayed back to keep the house safe, but before they could even enter. Yen approached his father with a hug.

"You better make it back, dad."

"Don't worry, when I get back I'll show you around the world before we go back."

Dennis said to Yen. As he hugged his son, the others entered the simulation, and he was the last one to enter. He then stopped hugging his son and performed a back jump into the simulation.

Meanwhile, inside the simulation. Owen was to enter first, then Dwight. They found themselves at the same spot they were training and saw that the house was burnt down.

"When did this happen?"

Owen asked. During that moment, Dj and Donte arrived. They ended up a few steps in front of Owen. Then Dennis showed up inside the burnt down house.

"Alright, the city ain't far from here. So let's go."

Dennis went straight to the point and led his friends towards the city.
