[This is continuing on from the same day that the last chapter ended on]
Entering the small kitchen, he picks up some hard bread and stuffing it in his mouth.
He hears the smacking of swords, when he exit's the house, he sees Harold and Lokir in the middle of a duel, off to the side, Graham sits while watching them.
He whistles loudly, breaking their concentration and making them look at him, "we need to talk, come inside for a moment, you too grandpa"
The group of three follow Alex inside the house and sit at the table with him, they sit in silence waiting for him to talk.
Alexander does his best to pretend that he's nervous and slightly afraid, "When i was sleeping last night, i had a dream about an old man, he called himself Gandalf Dumbledore, he says he was a master of magic and wanted me to be his apprentice"
"At first, i thought it was just another dumb dream, so i went along with it, he taught me many things on magic and even taught me a few spells... but when i woke up, i could still use these spells", he says before raising his hand and letting small rays of lightning flow around his hand.
Lorik looked like a normal kid, he was in awe and wanted to ask a million questions, Graham was a maester most of his life, so he'd heard of magic but never actually seen it.
Harold, on the other hand, had seen magic before, he'd been in Essos for a long time and seen many things, he knew magic was powerful yet there was a lot of unknowns, even people that practiced magic, barely knew anything about it.
Alex fidgets in his seat under the gazes of his friends and family, he looks up at Harold, "will you make me leave?"
Before Harold can speak, he's interrupted by an angry Lorik, "You can't make him leave just because he has magic, he's my friend and your student-", before he can say anything else, he gets a firm smack on the head from the old knight.
"I'm not going to force you to leave but can you tell me more about this, Gandalf Dumbledore, and the magic he taught you?"
The day went on without practice, he answered their questions for several hours and told them everything about his magic, but not about the system.
The moon starts to rise as they run out of questions, the older men ponder on the future of the boy and how they may best teach him about his new gifts.
As the boys head off to sleep, Graham and Harold stay behind to talk about Alex.
--- Graham POV ---
Watching my grandson grow up into a fine young man with intellect beyond his years has been the highlight of my life, but now he has these gifts, he can control lightning, heal wounds, make his flesh harder than normal wood, and can summon a dagger made of actual magic.
Gandalf Dumbledore, I've never heard that name before, he gave my grandson abilities that only gods should have, and yet, Alexander said the spells he has now are terrible in comparison to Gandalf's abilities.
I look over to my life-long friend, "What do you make of this, you were already surprised by his keen mind and amazing swordsmanship but now, he can blast enemies with lightning and heal those around him"
Harold slouches into his chair before releasing a heavy sigh, "I don't know, I've seen magic before but nothing like this, I'll continue training him as i have been but he from now on, you'll teach him everything you know about the world, i know he's still just a cub but with the power he has, we can't shelter him anymore, he needs to grow up a bit"
Graham nods, he would rather let Alex enjoy his childhood but who knows what will happen if he loses control or even falls into a blind rage for some reason.
Graham sighs along with his friend, "I'll start teaching him everything i know"
They nod to each other before heading off to bed.
--- Three Years Later ---
After three years of training his body and honing his mind, he would heal everyone's injuries after training, this helped level up his Healing spell, even if it was only a little,
He trained his Shock spell by hitting small targets that Harold had set up, it was a powerful spell but its accuracy was inconsistent and unstable.
Oakflesh was trained by being punched and kicked by Lorik and Harold, at first, he wanted to die, it was painful beyond belief but as it leveled up a few times, the training became easier.
There wasn't really a way to level up his Bound Dagger except summoning it and unsummoning it.
He had leveled up quite a few times over these years but put all his points into Magic to increase his mana.

====================
His stats were increasing nicely and he hadn't even hit puberty yet.
He found out that when stats pass a certain point, he'll acquire traits for them, when he had twenty-five points in Magic, he got the trait, [Minor Mana Regen], which gives his ten mana every ten seconds.
When his Intelligence passed twenty-five, he acquired, [Perfect Memory], meaning he can remember everything he's ever seen, heard, or learned.
Now, standing on the edge of Harold's residence, Alex and Lorik stand next to the old knight, "You wanted to talk to us, sir?"
Harold nods but continues to look at the horizon, "Graham and i have decided that once you two turn fourteen, you will go on separate journeys, you will be given a few tasks by us and you will not be allowed to return here until those tasks are complete"
"The main goal of this journey is for each of you to grow and learn more about the world, see it with your own eyes and make your own decisions"
The boys both nod at him, Lorik speaks up, "may we know where each of us is headed?"
"No, you'll find out when the time comes but until then, we will be increasing your training exponentially", he says with a devilish smile that sends shivers down their spines.
