As the guild has stoped in their moves and started setting up the camp in front of the dark forest, Kyle moved in the completely opposite way from them. As the grassland was vast, he now knew that it wasn't endless.
Kyle considered going together with the guild to explore the forest, but in the end, decided against it. He was not part of the guild, and there was no reason for him to help them. He also thought about being lucky with absorbing the energy from the spider queen, but surely it would alert others, plus once he does that, his system might get exposed.
When asking Marta about the way system works for other adventurers, she said that usually the amount of experience one would get from the monster is not a lot and only a small part of the whole monsters energy would get absorbed. That is why parties of at least 5 were exploring the world as 5 people would be able to all get experience from every single monster. Also, the dead monster wouldn't disappear straight away and would rather rot and cause very dangerous miasma. That is why burning the bodies after gathering all the valuable parts was common.
That is why Kyle didn't want to absorb the boss energy and make it disappear. That would certainly cause everyone to go mad.
That is why Kyle decided first to explore the area around the forest and the camp to check if there is anything that could be of interest to him.

After running non-stop for a couple of hours, he arrived at the end of the grassland. Another forest started at that point, with that forest very out of place as well. Everything at the grassland was vibrant and had green coloured leaves. Considering that it was around the start of spring, it was normal for nature only to start its awakening process from slumbers of winter.
What was very different in that forest, is that the floor was littered with leaves of orange and yellow colour and the whole forest was as if it was in autumn and separated from the rest of the world. Kyle wanted to go in and start to explore the insides, but he suddenly heard a long humming noise and trees being knocked down.
Straight away, Kyle hid behind the first tree that he could see. 'I am not sure if my eyes are showing the truth… No way something that big can exist.' Kyle's eyes were wide open, and he peaked in the same direction that he looked before. There, in the distance was a large ogre, the size of a 6-floor building was walking through the forest while dragging a pink wooden tree in one of its hands and a wooden club in the other.
The ogre looked very savage, with some skull necklace reaching from his neck to the floor and dragging on it. Kyle couldn't see who's skulls they were, but either way, he didn't want to find out. 'This is the first real monster that I ever saw in this world. Before it was just normal animals. I am not sure if I can take on any real monsters if they are all the same as this ogre…' Kyle tried to get a better look at the ogre once again and while reaching out from the tree, he by mistake stepped on the dry branch that was hidden below the leaves. A very soft and deep sound of cracking was heard.
Kyle was looking at the ogre at the moment. As soon as the noise sounded out, ogre stopped and threw with extreme power the club in the direction of the noise. It was flying at an unbelievable speed, and Kyle could only pray that he could dodge it.
The club was knocking down every tree that it came in contact with and didn't slow down even for a bit. Kyle understood that his only option would be to escape or be food for the ogre. He ran for his dear life. The club smashed at the exact spot where Kyle stood, and ogre started running towards the spot as well.
Kyle continued escaping fast, so fast that he forgot where he was or what he was about to do. The pressure that Kyle was feeling from the Ogre was too big to describe. It was as if a skyscraper was dropping on his head with him being trapped in the cage. It was terrifying.
Kyle's eyes were watery. It could be because he was scared, because he might just die here unfairly or because there was a wind that was hitting him in the face. Either way, he used 101% of his body power to run. The problem was that speed of the ogre was too fast. He was catching up with Kyle even though they started at least 5 kilometres apart.
This was a disaster. There was nothing that he could do. He can try turning to fight, but it was equivalent to suicide. The casual swing of the club would evaporate Kyle. Also trying to get past the skin of the ogre with his weapons would be wishful thinking.
'Just when I was proud of my strength, and I thought I could take on anyone, the universe humbled me,' Kyle whipped, 'Universe I get it, help me now!' Kyle's eyes were just watery… yeah, right…
Then suddenly Kyle remembered, 'I only care of ways to get this ogre off of me, maybe that spider that the guild wanted to kill is powerful enough to buy me some time to escape.' Kyle contemplated on where to run. He only wanted to escape this monster and nothing else.
After some deeper thought, he decided, he would run towards the spider forest, but so that the ogre only chases him and doesn't switch to the guild, he would anger it. 'I would have never thought that I would want to die so much,' Kyle turned and threw with all the power the sword that he got from one of the villagers. The sword didn't reach the ogre and just dropped on the ground.
Then Kyle did something else, he stabbed into the ground couple of swords, facing the edge to the top. If the ogre doesn't notice it, he most likely will step on it.
After running for 2 more kilometres, Kyle heard a roar and an ogre fell down in pain. 'Yes!' But as Kyle was about to celebrate his escape, he only saw ogre stand up and now rush towards him with even higher speed. Now Kyle only had one choice. To run faster.
After the chaise lasting for 30 minutes and Kyle's legs on the point of breaking, the forest with cobwebs appeared on the horizon. This was the best news. 'Sorry white wolf guild! I am only doing this because I have no choice!' Kyle ran straight at the camp. The guild members that were in charge of cooking and other miscellaneous things stayed at the camp. Now they saw a being the size of a castle chasing a man that was running straight at them.
They panicked, screams filled the air and every single person scattered around. Kyle only saw one target in front of him. 'Get deep into the forest, where the spider would want to fight the ogre. Run as fast as I can.'
