Chapter 5

What was I going to do now? He saw me acting out of my character! What if he is going to use that against me?! Oh, what do I do now?! I'm panicking!! I tried to remain calm and looked back at my friend.

She looked shocked. For her this was also out of character for me, this was something that my friend had never seen, she had never seen this side of me before!

"Sorry.. I was just thinking about something else.." I said looking down at the ground.

My friend looked worriedly at me.

"I-it's okay! You know you can tell me if something is bothering you.. that's what friends are for.."

That's what she said.. knowing that I will sooner or later leave, exposing who I am to the people who think I am their friend.. that I will break their heart just like I broke every other person's heart In the other school I went to for exam.

I looked at my friend.

"Yea.."

The school day had ended and I was ready for Lucas to blackmail me, for me to become a peasant and for me to fail.

I went home sad and worried. Just when I got home I got a notification on my phone. It was Lucas.

"Hey Mia. I'm guessing you probably know why I'm messaging you now. I want to meet you. Let's meet at the school. You know which one, and don't you even think about not coming. I know what you did and I will use that against you. So don't even think about it."

I guess I have no choice now. I have to go whether I liked it or not. I got ready and put on my white shirt with a white ribbon. Then headed out to meet Lucas. He was at the back of our private school. When he saw me, he gave me a smirk. I knew that this was gonna end badly.

"Hello Mia, I knew you would show up." He said with a smirk.

I was annoyed.

"Well I mean, I didn't really have a choice!" I said with an annoyed face.

"You know Mia.. I knew about your plan to make sure that I wouldn't ace the exam. You were spying on me every day, trying to find me out of my character. But look how the tables have turned.."

I just stayed silent. I had no words. I knew that soon this would be the end for me.

"So what are you going to do now..?" I said, looking down.

He had a smile on his face.

"I am going to expose you. I will make sure that this year, I will be the one that passes with flying colours. And only me."

I was red with rage. How dare he! I wanted to punch him so bad right at that moment.

"Now, now. You can leave, and remember. Soon you will fail the exam and need to leave. So enjoy it while it lasts." Lucas said with a smile.

I was so mad, so I just walked off. He was so annoying and rude! I went into my car and sat down, annoyed and mad.

"I can't stand him! He is so annoying, stupid, and so mean! I mean I know I was going to do the same.. but that's different! I think.. ugh whatever!"

I was getting even more annoyed just thinking about him! But he was right.. Soon I will need to say goodbye to the class.. the exam was kinda fun you could say. I enjoyed the company of the people that called themselves my friends..

The day after, I was so nervous and scared at the same time. Today will probably be my last day here!

I was waiting until the end of the day to see if someone would come up to me and tell me that I was disqualified from the exam.

But when the end of the day arrived no one had come to take me away.. I looked at Lucas confused. When he noticed I was looking at him he looked back and smiled.

Was he playing with me?! I walked home annoyed and confused.

"Was he playing with me? I bet he just wanted to annoy me." I thought while walking. I stopped when I realised I was home.

I went inside, took off my shoes and ran up to my room. Well I don't think I should keep calling it my room anymore since I was gonna get disqualified soon. I went to my room to get into more comfortable clothes. After I had put on some comfortable clothes, I layed in my bed and took out my phone to look at some social media. To be honest, even that was boring. So I decided to read a book. That could keep me busy for a while.

The next day I was panicking! Would this be the day I was going to get disqualified and fail the exam!? I can't fail! I've never ever failed a test in my life!

I waited scared and nervously. Watching the clock every minute. Luckily nothing happened that day.. not the day after. Not even the day after that. Before I knew it, it had already been a week. For some reason Lucas hadn't done anything.. I started getting less worried and scared. I was also a bit at ease.

More days went by and I stopped thinking that much about it.

Until one day.

I was in class doing work. It was the last lesson of the day, I was having English. We had to write a story about a fantasy animal. While I was writing, I heard something. It was a knock at the door. When the teacher went to open it she saw it was the principal.

"Hello class, how are you?"

I was so shocked to see him. I turned around to look at Lucas. He was grinning at me.

"I'm here to take Mia with me." The principal said, looking at me.

I was too ashamed to look at the others. I could barely hold in my tears. I heard someone stand up and walk over to the principal. It was Lucas.

"Heh, I guess it's game over for you Mia."

"I hate you Lucas."

I hated him a lot before, but now I just despise him.

I stood up and went with the principal.

"It seems as if they're exams ended early!" The principal said with a smile. Lucas could not stop cheering for himself.

I was just disappointed In me.. I thought that this year I would be the only one that aced the exam.. but now.. I am the one who got disqualified this year..
