Chapter 4
Some days had gone by after that day. I still didn't know what he had meant. It wasn't like I was about to give up just yet! Or so I thought.. The day when the new student came was probably the worst day of my life!
I was in class just looking out the window and waiting for the teacher to come in and start the lessons.
When the teacher came in, someone else came in with her. It was Lucas!! I was shocked and at the same time mad! So this was what he meant with "soon we won't be competing with each other anymore"
He really thought that I would give up just by him starting here? Hah! In his dreams! I was going to ace this exam whether he liked it or not!
Lucas ignored me and acted like a shy little puppy when he came. I guessed that he was supposed to act nervous and shy on his first day, just like other normal people would be on their first day.
When he came in everyone's eyes were on him. I was so annoyed but I needed to keep calm so I did not act out of character.
As the day went on I got more and more annoyed seeing him here. It got harder and harder for me to control myself seeing him acting so nice towards my classmates.
When the day finally was over I went home and decided to go back to the private school to talk to him. I wanted to know what his plan was! I wanted to know why he decided to start at my school.
When I arrived there, I went inside into the hall looking for Lucas. When I saw him he was talking to some of his friends by the lockers. I barged over to him and told the guys to leave so I could talk to him alone. He probably knew what this was about since he didn't even seem bothered or confused.
"What's your problem!? Huh!? Why did you start at my school!?" I said with an annoyed face. Lucas just laughed.
"Haha! You know it's really not my fault that my file said I was going to change schools again! So don't get so worked up over it!" Lucas said then continued laughing.
He had a point. But I still didn't understand why he had to transfer to my school of all schools!!
Maybe the master wanted to see if something would change? Or maybe he was just bored and decided to make things a bit more exciting? I mean that is how he usually is. He always likes things more exciting than it usually is.
I walked away mad and annoyed. I couldn't really do anything about that anyways. I just had to live with the fact that I was going to the same school as Lucas. Well until the exam was over. But even after that I still have to go to the same school as him. So I guess not that much will change. But it will still be annoying knowing that I need to have my exam in the same school.
Until then I will have to try and manage.
School had started again, and I was back to acting like a different person. While I was acting, I was also watching Lucas and seeing how he was acting. Maybe I could find him acting in a way he is not supposed to act! If I could find him like that then I would finally be the only number 1 in school and not have to share that throne with Lucas!
I know it's gonna be hard.. but I have to at least try..
Some days had gone by and I still haven't seen anything weird. Lucas was good and I knew that, but I just had to find him acting different. If I could find him acting in a way he is not supposed to then maybe I could get him disqualified from the exam! It was genius but at the same time a bit stupid.. I had to at least try though! Right?
Some more days had gone by and I still hadn't found out anything! I was starting to get so annoyed!! And my friends started to notice that..
While I was looking at Lucas one of my friends came to me. They asked.
"Hey Chloe.. You okay? You seem annoyed and a bit distracted.."
That hit me.
"What!? No of course not! I'm not annoyed at all! Why would I be annoyed!? And what in the world would I be distracted by?!" I was annoyed at the fact. Not because she called me annoyed, but because she noticed me looking at Lucas!
When I looked back at Lucas to see what he was doing.. I noticed that he was looking at me.. he saw me. He saw me acting.. a way I wasn't supposed to..
