COMPLICATIONS
~~LEON'S POV ~~
my phone couldn't stop ringing and it felt annoying.
all I wanted was to finish my work quickly and go meet Bella but for some reason, this unknown caller wouldn't stop bugging me
" sir we are here " the driver informed and I got out of the car which earned me another missed call
after taking a deep breath I decided to answer the call
" Leon Copeland here," I said
"doctor Jessica " the person from the other end introduced
" you may not know me that well but there is something I think you need to know about your wife's pregnancy," she said with panic slightly visible in her voice hearing that the issue is related to Bella I could feel my protective instinct become active
" go on," I said taking a sit on the couch
" Although it's minute and wouldn't be found even if she goes for a check-up...I'll want to warn you that Bella's pregnancy has some complications "
" meaning ? and why would I believe you "
" it might be difficult to believe but I was the doctor in charge of Bella when she was under Don Fang's care "
" the same one that administered Namzaric to her? " I asked with an emotionless tone
" actually about that I wasn't.I recently started taking care of her and even tried reducing the dosage she was given.. after some weeks I realized she started recovering but due to the high dosage she has consumed things kind of get messy when she's having flashbacks ..for example, she might be calling out for you but might not recognize you even if you are close to her "
" and why did you decide to tell me all this? "
" am just trying to rectify my cousin's mistake..and if possible please take Bella far away from this country," she said before ending the call
I couldn't help but shake off the gut feeling that something seemed wrong
but wrong?
" LEON !!! "
I heard Bella call
' fucked up is my imagination she doesn't even remember me so what would make her remember my name ' I sighed and looked at my phone screen one more time which has a photo of her
" LEON !!! "
I heard her call for the second time and this time I was dead sure it wasn't my imagination but Bella call out for me
I quickly took to my heels making my way toward Bella's room to find her crawling on the ground from the looks of things one could tell she is in pain
" Bella " I called and rushed to her side just to be shoved away by her
" go get Leon my stomach hurts " she screamed tears rolling down her face
this must be the effect the doctor said
taking in a deep breath her approached her slowly not wanting to be shoved away again
" Bella ... Leon is not around how about I take you to the hospital and informed him, " I asked with fingers crossed
" Then what the fuck are you waiting for the call the ambulance " she cursed as she usually does
I know I should be annoyed but I feel happy now that my Bella is back

After much cursing, scolding, and beating, we finally arrived at the hospital and the doctors quickly attended to Bella.
from the looks of things I could tell the doctors had a hard time calming her
" how is she? " I asked
" We have to run some tests on her... "
" there would be no need for that she's my patient " I turned to find the same doctor who declared Bella's pregnancy to me
" good evening Mr. Leon, doctor Jessica "
wait for what?
" same... "
" yes we spoke earlier, please come with me to my office," she said leading the way.
" stay with her " I informed Matt who just arrived and he nodded
when we got to her office she took a deep breath and gave me some reports.. having a bad feeling about them is one thing and having to read them is what I couldn't do
" tell me what they say " I pushed the reports back to her
" Actually... according to the reports the complications of her pregnancy would lead to the Lost of life of the other," she said dancing with her words
"Meaning? ".
" you'll have to choose between your baby and wife.
it's either we lose both mother and baby during delivery or we lose one " she explained and the earth suddenly came to a halt for me
how can I choose between my child and wife?
' what type of a joke could you be playing with me, Lord? '
" Leon, Bella wants to meet you," Matt said barging into the doctor's office
I made my way towards the VIP room where Bella was but kept but halted at the door
I couldn't believe what a difficult situation am in
choosing between my unborn child and wife
" Bella " I called trying to put on a smile as I walked into the room
" Are you Leon ? " she asked which took me back but still I nodded
" I want to go away from here " was all she said and I knew where she was heading to
