I did not expect this sit-down to go this way, and I can tell from Riri's expression that she didn't either. Her parents have been supportive of her. At one point, however, I thought her father would force her to accept his request. Thankfully, it didn't come to that. It would've sucked if I had to put Don Alessandro in his place in front of his wife and his daughter.
Carmelo told me what happened earlier with the De Luca soldiers and while what she did surprised me, it's kind of expected too. I didn't need her to stand up for me because frankly, I couldn't care less that they glare at me when I'm in the room, but I appreciate what she did all the same.
To top it off, Riri just admitted to her parents that she's going to support me. It might look insignificant, but hearing her voice out is enough for me to know where she stands. I wonder when she started feeling like this. Was it something I've said or done?
