A Battle Against Death

Rrrroooaaarr!

The terrifying roar echoed throughout the dark battlefield, and countless walkers ran in all directions, headed towards where Dominic and Negan were.

That swollen and deformed figure slowly emerged from the darkness. Under the illumination of the flames coming from the battlefield, its appearance became visible, and at the same time, Dominic was frozen.

Thick layers of muscles covered its entire torso. Its large right arm was as big as the lower half of its body, and its claws were so large that Dominic was sure it could cut through metal like butter. Those thick layers of mutated muscles on the creature's body made it look much bigger, stronger, and more dangerous.

The giant made a loud noise every time it moved, glaring at its prey in the center of this motionless place.

Strong, fast, dangerous, and unstoppable—what the hell should Dominic consider when facing this thing?

In the past, regardless of whether they were normal walkers or runner-class walkers, he was sure to face them, as his body was not much different from those infected, but now his thinking has completely changed.

The virus had completely changed the appearance of that human infected by the virus; Dominic was sure that this walker or infected was extremely dangerous.

"I'm lucky that this isn't the first time I've faced creatures much stronger than me in close combat!" Dominic knew he couldn't lose; one misstep and those enemy claws would cut him in two.

Dominic touched the camera on his chest to start recording, both in case he dies or defeats it. The information stored in his suit would be useful for his organization for future problems of this kind.

"Hahaha, I want to know how strong and smart you are!"

"Damn it, why didn't he flee and leave this madman to die alone?" Negan couldn't believe that Dominic wanted to go fight that Walker.

Dominic was very impressed by this walker that had evolved to an unrecognizable point, and he knew he couldn't let it live, as this would create a huge problem. Besides, there was no escape, even if he wanted to run away from this place, so there was nothing else to do.

Obviously, it's not a good idea to stay here to face this mutated subject that he has never seen before without first understanding the threat from the other side.

But this time, with no way out, there was no time to prepare and learn everything that this new enemy could do. Therefore, he breathed and felt the blood in his body pumping over and over from his heart to the farthest corners of his body.

Roar!

And just when Dominic thought things wouldn't get any more complicated, the walkers attracted by the roar of this deformed giant arrived in a short time to the room, and they all ran towards Dominic's figure.

"I'll take care of the common walkers; finish off that thing, or let's get out of here now." Negan was shocked by what was on this battlefield.

"I'll leave it in your hands."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The measured shots penetrated the heads of all those figures running in his direction, and each one of them couldn't advance within a minimum distance of a meter from their target.

The giant walker was truly a unique specimen, something that Dominic, by survival instinct, wanted to eliminate.

Dominic knew he was at an advantage as long as that giant walker didn't decide to approach, and although this reaction was surprising, he decided to remain calm in the situation and be thankful for all these advantages he got while killing walkers.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

One walker after another fell to the ground, and in a short time, more than thirty walkers had been killed by Negan.

As the bullets ran out in his magazine, Negan became increasingly nervous, as if he stopped shooting, it's possible that the giant infected would attack him.

Roar!

But shortly after his bullets ran out and the walkers were eliminated in the vicinity, Dominic knew it was time to face the strongest enemy.

With a chill running down his spine, Dominic dropped his weapon to the ground and raised his two curved machete swords, looking at the giant infected. "You're a damn ant; compared to the things I've killed throughout my life, come at me, you damn monster!"

After speaking, Dominic roared and attacked that giant infected in front of him, and his long sword, just after that, infected with a long, large hand, cut first into the ribs of his enemy.

Puff!

The sharp blade of his machete pierced the muscles of this giant infected in an instant, and a long, sharp cut could be seen that had many of its muscles piled up.

But this initial attack by Dominic, the giant infected, seemed not to feel it and stretched out its right hand with those long, sharp claws to split in two the prey that dared to hurt it.

The gigantic arm of its right side moved at great speed; even with those great deformations in its arm, its speed and strength were so fast that it could cut a person in two.

Dominic, who had been prepared from the start, moved back as much as he could, but even so, it wasn't enough to avoid feeling the claw of that giant infected as it broke part of his armor.

With a distance to the enemy, Dominic positioned his body and prepared to attack again. If he was right, once he affected the nerves of its right arm, he should aim for the head of that giant, which wouldn't be a problem.

Therefore, after making a decision, Dominic moved once again towards the enemy. His long sword moved towards the same target, but this time that giant wasn't going to let them hurt it, so it stopped moving its right hand and, instead, attacked with its left arm.

Dominic knew he had to dodge that attack, but he also knew that this was his chance to attack twice in the same place and cause significant damage to the enemy.

"Ah!" With a roar, Dominic moved his two swords, and the sharp blade cut a long piece of flesh that immediately spurted blood.

But at that moment, Dominic lowered his right elbow as much as possible to his ribs and also his head to receive that blow.

Boom!

As if a huge hammer had hit him, Dominic felt severe pain that penetrated deep into his ribs, and at the same time, a terrifying pushing force sent him flying, impacting several walls before stopping in the distance.

"Roar!"

This time the giant infected suffered very serious damage; a part of its deformed body, specifically the cavity or hollow that forms at the bottom of the arm's union with the chest—in other words, the armpit—was cut, and now the right arm with which it moved and its sharp claws had been rendered useless.

Because of the weight of its right arm that it couldn't use right now, the deformed giant swayed from side to side, trying to stabilize its figure.

Dominic got up from the ground while holding the lower part where he had been hit; his breathing was short, and now what he wanted most was that no ribs were broken. Although his elbow and arm, plus the armor, covered part of the attack, he knew he had been hit quite hard.

The infected giant, on its side, was very angry; its body was strong, and before, there was no one who could seriously hurt it in its body. But now the defenseless armor was so fragile that it was cut like a piece of paper in front of the man who had sent it flying.

Only at that moment did the infected giant realize that it had greatly underestimated its enemy.

Dominic, who had taken out his gun with his right hand and a knife with his left, walked painfully towards the center of the office room, preparing to attack.

This time he wouldn't take the initiative to attack, but instead, he stood still, waiting for the enemy's attack.

But at that moment, Merle, who was driving a Humvee, emerged from a cloud of dust, and T-Dog, who manipulated the machine gun, opened fire.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Darn it, that's your brother."

T-Dog didn't hear Merle's words because he was focused on killing that huge walker.

Negan, on the other hand, helped Dominic get into the Humvee, and after getting in, he too was waiting to get out of this place.
