Upon seeing the male assistant, Naomi seemed to grasp at the last straw of salvation. The assistant smiled faintly, "Miss Ford knew that Miss Sweeney was engaged to Mr. Louise today, so she specially asked me to bring a gift for both of you. Please accept it, Miss Sweeney."
Naomi nodded dazedly, and hurriedly got up to receive the gift.
"What did she send?"
"Since it's from Miss Ford of Independent State, it must be exquisite."
"She specially sent a gift, it seems that Miss Ford cares a lot about Naomi, her goddaughter."
The surrounding discussions gradually helped Naomi calm down from her panic.
