Friends In Hatred And In Love

In the wake of a devastating war that claimed the lives of half the world's population, a fragile peace was sought among the three distinct creatures that inhabited the realm. To cement this fragile peace, a sanctuary was envisioned—a place where all three species could coexist without the looming threat of annihilation. However, a particular race held firm to their kind, reluctant to yield even a fraction of their population, creating an unsettling dilemma: the shortage of humans. As time elapsed, the other creatures perceived this shortage of human inhabitants as a display of human superiority, a stance that escalated tensions. Before matters spiraled further into chaos, an unexpected figure intervened—none other than the devil himself. Paradoxically, the architect of the peace initiative, the devil shouldered the responsibility of integrating humans into this shared sanctuary. But his methods were far from benevolent; he sought out those humans who had no other viable choices, manipulating circumstances to ensure their inclusion. His first target in this orchestrated plan was Emily. Emily, the central figure in this narrative, bore a harrowing past, marked by unfathomable acts—brutally murdering her biological father and boyfriend. Granted a second chance at life, she aimed to leave her haunting past behind, yet the weight of her history proved inescapable. However, amidst this shadowed past, a glimmer of hope emerged; perhaps, someone might stand alongside her to confront the haunting echoes of her actions. As the devil orchestrated his designs to integrate humans into this fragile alliance, Emily stood as a focal point in his intricate plans. Her story encapsulated the struggle for redemption, the perennial conflict between one's past and the pursuit of a new beginning. Her journey mirrored the perennial battle with personal demons, a quest for absolution in the face of unforgiving memories. The devil's intervention, while shrouded in sinister intentions, presented an opportunity for Emily. Her path toward reconciliation and the pursuit of a new life unfolded amid the backdrop of a world grappling with the fragile threads of a newfound peace, juxtaposed against the shadows of a tumultuous past. Emily's journey toward redemption, entwined with the devil's machinations, marked a pivotal chapter in the delicate equilibrium between races and the profound yearning for a harmonious coexistence. ------------- A glimpse of her life: Emily: Why are you here? Beel: To bring you food! Emily: Didn't that girl offer to buy you expensive food? Beel: Yeah but eating with you is better, everything tastes good, especially the food you make me Emily (while smiling): What should we make? Beel: Fried chicken and rice! Emily: Okay, get the ingredients, I will see the kitchen Beel: Okay, don't start without me, I want to help! (he ran away while she put her hand on her beating chest and wondered if she was ready to move on)

Innocence with the Privileged

Dolores came back to the dorm, drenched in blood and sweat, she wanted to take a shower so badly, that she didn't notice Raiin walking by her and gasping at what she saw.

"The fuck happened to you?" Raiin asked, concerned and worried, Dolores was bad with words and didn't know how to justify herself, she didn't expect anyone to be up at this time, 3 am, so she didn't arrange for an excuse, luckily for her, Raiin came up with an excuse herself.

"Is that trend where you put red paint all over you and pretend like you killed someone?" Raiin saw a trend going on, on the internet, where people would paint their clothes red and pretend to have killed their friends, it was really cool, but Dolores looked...too much, just too much redness and she smelt weird, she must have put too much paint on herself, poor girl.

"Yes?" Dolores smiled awkwardly and hoped that Raiin would buy into the excuse she came up with on her own.

"I wanted to do that so bad!! But my sisters won't let me, they said it's not ladylike and it will be bad for my reputation." Raiin mimicked her sister's stern voice, when she said that she couldn't kill someone and paint their blood on her body just for a trend, she could do it with red paint but not blood, but Raiin didn't want that, what's the fun in it if it's not real blood?

"Well, I don't have anyone to tell what I can and I can't do." Dolores said, with a sad smile, slightly envying Raiin for having someone who cared for her and her reputation, nobody did for her, her reputation was in the mud and nothing was going to get it out of there anytime soon.

"So cool! I want to be like you." Raiin said, looking at Dolores with sparkling eyes, thinking of the latter as the coolest person she had met so far.

"Trust me, you don't." Dolores said as she put her only clean hand on Raiin's head and walked away, smiling at the innocence of the girl, she hoped she could be but will never be. Her past already defined her future, and she cannot change it, her bloody hands will never be clean and she won't let them be, because this was the life she chose and this was the life she was going to have, it was the only way she could survive.

Raiin looked at Dolores and wondered why she smelt of blood, it was a bit masked, but as a demon, blood was like an aphrodisiac, just a faint of it and she would go rogue, without the proper self-control, so how was Dolores walking normally when she has blood on her? Did it get mixed up with the paint by accident?

"It's too late at night to be using my brain." Raiin yawned and then went back to looking for the black cat, she came out of her room for, that cat was special, it had red and blue eyes and a white spot on her chest, which meant it was her brother's cat, but what was it doing here? He couldn't have sent her to spy on her, right? He isn't THAT controlling, she would hope.

Raiin looked for the cat for a few more minutes, she was getting more tired by the second, her eyelids were getting heavy and she couldn't see clearly anymore, so much so that she bumped into someone, who was as sleepy as she was, it was Emily.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking ahead." Raiin said and helped the person get up, she made them fall by the impact, they must be human if they are that weak.

"Thank you, I wasn't looking either, I am really sleepy, I just came out to fetch water." Emily said with a sleepy smile and almost closed eyes.

"You don't have any in your room?" Raiin asked curiously since every student has to have a bottle of water in their room, so they couldn't roam around at night and get themselves in danger, especially humans, who can be eaten in a second, like her, she fell just by accidentally being pushed, imagine if someone attacked her? They would swallow her in one gulp.

"No, I gave it all to a passing cat." Emily had a bad habit of caring about animals, more than caring about herself, so when a cat landed on her window and started to meow, she brought out food and water for the cat, not caring that the food was her dinner and that the water was all she had to fill her thirst till the morning. And when the cat left, she went to bed, hoping that she would be able to sleep with an empty stomach and a sore throat, she couldn't and had to go, look for something to fill her stomach with.

"What did the cat look like?" Raiin was now suspicious, no cats roamed around this place, it was the Devildom, any cat who wandered around here would get eaten in a second, with no bones left. So the fact that the cat was in the girl's room, eating food, and then walking around the hallways, only meant that it was a person in a cat's body.

"Black with nice eyes." Emily described the cat, with the way she saw it, because the cat didn't eat when she was in the room, so she had to leave to let it eat, she only saw it for a few seconds.

"Where did it go?" Now Raiin was sure this was her brother's cat, his most loyal servant, who was her childhood friend, Jun.

"To the big tree outside." Emily pointed to the tree outside of the window, where the cat jumped as soon as it finished its food and water.

"Thank you!" Raiin thanked her with a bright smile and jumped out of the window, to catch up to Jun.
