Kasra Utsumi is a first year Limiter at West Genetics Academy, whose Freezing capability and amount of stigmata are unmatched in the school. However, it is this very same ability that fuels his distorted sense of loneliness and separation. [Cover art is various depictions of Kasra]
His voice heavily weighed, the word he spoke was low, and cracked like someone walking over loose gravel.
"Freezing."
The palm of his hand was touching the ground, and from beneath it streaks of light surged outwards.
Everyone, but him, had frozen in place.
"…My god, you lot are really just a bunch of kids, huh?"
Despite being a third year student, his capability as a limiter hadn't weakened in the slightest with his age.
"…How disappointingly stale."
He slowly walked into the mess of Pandoras, who were all frozen in place, with their weapons drawn.
Some were in unique positions, as they were halted while they were using their weapon, in between swings and strikes.
After a moment, he found the one he had been observing, the one that perpetrated the whole fight.
Lightly wrapping his thumb and index finger around her chin, he lifted her face to match his gaze.
His touch felt strangely alien to her, like a bizarre and overpowering force stirred within him.
It was a disturbing feeling, that compelled her to retreat from him; but this wasn't possible.
One eyebrow furrowed and the other raised, he said:
"…Oh wow, I never took you for the troublemaker type. Guess you never can tell, with the way the world is?"
From beneath his thick locks of hair, was the glint of blindingly bright green eyes, which seared themselves into her retinas.
Looking up at him, she felt as if she was being judged by something as terrifying and powerful as Anubis.
The only thing he hadn't stopped was her ability to move her eyes and speak.
"No, you don't understand! They started it all… I've been good, I swear!"
His gaze visibly softened, the wrinkles of his face disappearing into his surface, before he said:
"You're mistaken. Dealing out punishment or disciplinary action isn't really up to me, it's up to the prez."
Turning his head around, he asked the question.
"Isn't that right, prez?"
From the darkness of a corner of the school's roof, walked in a woman.
Bathed in the singular light still on, the only features they were able to make out was her tan skin and silvery blonde hair.
"…Kasra, you don't need to be so mean to them, though I am pissed we had to come in so late to deal with some petty scrap."
Letting go of her chin, Kasra turned around to face her.
"Again, please don't call me Kasra, I really would just prefer being Utsumi."
The tiny sounds of her heels hitting the concrete picked up in loudness as she got closer.
"Oh, and I think I'd 'prefer' it if you stopped rejecting my advances, Kasra."
Slightly stunned, it took him a second to regain his standing before retorting.
"…But you already have a limiter, though… I'm sure I can't fit myself into that equation. Besides, I dont think there's a Pandora able to handle the amount of stigmatas I have."
Her hair glistened with electric light, as she told him:
"I think you're misunderstanding something, Kasra, I wasn't talking about being my limiter."
With the women, who were just fighting, all listening in, they all had the same singular thought.
