The sun is going down. With that, people should be going after finishing their work.
But in Greenwood Village, this didn't happen. Today, people can be seen coming and going from the house Leon lives in. The people that were leaving had sad faces, and the people that were coming had a flower or an item in their hands, also with sad faces.
After Granpa Rick died, Leon didn't immediately notify everyone in the village. He sat beside his grandpa's death bed, grieving and calming himself down. When he calmed down, he told everyone about the passing of Grandpa Rick.
In the afternoon, he buried his grandpa with the help of others. Everyone paid tribute to him with what they liked. Some took out flowers, some foods, some various items. Being nice and famous with kids, the kids in the village were the saddest.
When everyone left, Leon still stood alone in front of his grandpa's grave in silence.
Suddenly, a hand patted his back. It was Aunty Halen's hand. Behind her was her daughter, Hiba, who is 16 this year.
"Leon, come to our home to eat. You may feel better eating with us." Aunty Halen said it sincerely.
"Yes, eat with us tonight." Hiba also spoke from behind.
"Thank you, Aunty. I will trouble you." Leon agreed calmly.
At night in Aunty Halen's house. Her house was the same as theirs, with walls made of soil and a roof made of clay tiles. They had rough textures.
At the dinner table, Leon and Aunty Halen sat across from each other, and Hiba sat in the middle of them. They started eating quietly. Seeing everyone quiet, Hiba started looking for a topic to break the silence. Hiba had always been a chatterbox. Whenever she met someone, she would start talking as if there was no end. She had tbugged Leon the most because he was quiet all the time she taught he was listening to her talk all the time. She had no idea he didn't like talking to people he didn't know very well.
"So Leon. What will you do from now on?" Hiba asked.
When Hiba asked this, her mom on the side became worried if Leon become mentally heavy and lost from thinking about this question. But what she was worried about didn't happen.
"I have decided I will start roaming and exploring this vast, unknown world. When Grandpa was still alive, he also agreed and said, that I should do what I think is best." Leon said, smiling.
"You want to explore the world! You are still a kid." Hiba said with an amazed face.
"Who said I am kid. I am a man." Leon retorted.
Hiba started making fun of him. "Hahahah....A kid saying he is a man. Listening to you, I feel like I am an old hag."
Leon pointed his finger at her face and said."You are and always be an old hag. You will also never get a man."
"What did you say? Say that again." Hiba's face became calm, with veins popping on her forehead. It looked like something would explode.
But Leon said it again as if he didn't see it."You are and always be an old h- ."
Hiba didn't let him finish, she started pulling his right ear and scolded."You snotty brat! Like you would get any girl with those eyes full of lust."
"I do not look with lust. I appreciate art." Leon retorted righteously.
"You appreciate My ASS." Hiba denied.
"Yes." Leon agreed with her statement.
"Arghhh."
.
.
Seeing these two bickerings, it lightened up the mood; Halen giggled with a hand on her mouth. She was happy Leon didn't go astray.
With that, they went to sleep.
Early in the morning.
Leon could be seen making a fence with woods near Grandpa Rick's grave. He was halfway through but couldn't make it anymore because of hunger. So he made breakfast at his house. After having breakfast, he went on to finish it.
Leon knows making a wooden fence won't make a difference because a strong person or monster can easily destroy it. He made it for respect and for peace of mind.
After doing all this, he went to work. No matter what, he needs money for travel. There is a lot of money saved by Grandpa, but that's just copper coins with some silver in them. No matter what are you or where are you, money is an important factor for living.
Finishing today's meal he rested that afternoon. In the evening, he woke up.
He came to the backyard with Black Star Sword. He was going to start training with the sword from now on. But first, he did his basic exercise.
The night had come when he was done with his exercise.
He took his sword, which was a few inches taller than him. He doesn't know anything about swordplay.
But he knows one thing: sword drawing and slashing.
He started by slashing first because he can't draw with his current size.
He postured his right foot front and left foot back. The sword was on top of his head, and he made a vertical slash.
He started doing this repeatedly. Every time he swung it he threw away the sorrow he had, seeing his grandpa's death.
But he didn't know someone was watching his hard work in the corner of his house.
The person's eyes were filled with sadness, seeing Leon's hard work and also reminding her of someone.
Those eyes gradually turned firm, as if she had made a decision.
