CHAPTER 83

Jiminy woke up to the intense worried stare of three people, he could have sworn he saw worried lines on the arrogant girl's forehead but immediately she noticed his eyes opening, she relaxed her features into a thick scrowl .

" Sleeping beauty is finally awake, can we eat now? " Alice sassed moving towards the dinning table.

Jiminy merely grunted and focused on Nana who was smiling down at him as though he was some sort of hero or something along those lines. " Thank you so much Jiminy for today, you're such a great kid thank you child" She muttered with a emotion filled voice .

" Ughhh stop it Nana it's nothing. I'm glad I could be of help " .

" Jiminy I'm so glad you're finally awake, c'mon let's eat before alice finishes all the food alone " Ayra teased.

" Thanks ayra but I have to head out now , the soup smells amazing but I think I will pass " .

" Think again boy because you ain't leaving here till you have something to eat, Christ you suffered from a knife cut " Nana said sternly leaving no room for arguments and Jiminy had no other choice but to oblige.

He had one taste of the soup and declared it delicious " This is really nice Nana, best soup I have had in a while " he gushed on grateful he had stayed back.

" Oh alice made the soup herself not Nana, we merely helped her " Ayra informed him smiling gleefully.

Jiminy dropped his spoon abruptly before muttering dryly " Thankfully you have another skill apart from being mean and rude to people " .

Ayra almost troppled on her seat in laughter clearly enjoying the banter between the two and waiting for her sister to retaliate but alice merely gasped softly and continued eating indifferent.

" My grand baby has a lot of skills apart from being mean " Nana enthused wondering why the two were at logger heads.

" Thank you Nana " Alice said smiling sweetly at her .

" Tsk at least you agree she's mean Nana and s-" .

" Nana!!! did you hear him? , can you imagine the audacity? " Alice screamed unable to bear it anymore, gawd if she had her way his arrogant head would be on the floor right now . She was alice and no one, absolutely no dares to talk down at her.

" I can't imagine honey but ignore him, don't give him a reaction everyone knows you're a sweet girl " Nana appeased with a twinkle in her eyes .

Jiminy laughed out loud pinning alice with a stare. " Hey why the heck are you laughing? Huh blue eyed maniac " Alice sprutted hating the fact he was getting under her skin, plus she was pissed off at him so why the hell does this animal sound emanating from him sound like music in her ears? .

" My name is Jiminy don't call me any other thing " He stated insecure about the fact that the color of his eyes was different from the color of his body.

" Well I really don't care about your name, I will call you whatever I wish to " Alice replied with a flourish using his words against him.

" Once again you have shown how rude you can be " .

" It's not my fault you bring out the worst part of me " She cried loudly stamping her hands on the table.

" Oh now it's my fault? " .

" Yes!!! It's all you fault. I never did nothing and you started being all arrogant towards me.

Ayra watched Jiminy in curiosity, who was this guy? And why did he possess the ability to make alice mad? This was the first time ayra was seeing alice all defensive in an attack,before today alice was an ice queen and would be the one attacking her victim but now the reverse was the case . She was boiling like a volcano ready to erupt at any moment.

" Heap the blame on me that's something you're used to doing anyways " .

" What - Christ you don't even know me or anything about me " She retorted surprised and confused at his words.

' That's what you think ' He said beneath his breath " I came here earlier today with the intent of seeing Nana, I didn't have the knowledge you guys were around and i made the burglar pass out but what did I get in return?. You accused me of assisting him in an almost successful crime .

" So because I mistook you for a burglar that automatically mean I'm mean and rude? " .

" Exactly and the fact that it is bothering you this much shows that you're really rude " .

" Tsk you're being delusional, I'm not bothered. I just hate it when people accuse me of things they are guilty of !!!!.

" Alright both of you that's enough, I feel a headache brewing already. You the both of you have been going on and on, ain't you tired? " .

" Sorry Nana, I will wash my plate and get going. " .

" You don't have to wash it Jiminy, Alice and I will do it later " Ayra said displeased that the drama was over, she wanted to know who will emerge victorious. Hopefully he would come the next day " .

" Speak for yourself " Alice said with disdain.

" Tsk don't worry I will do it myself - " She started but her phone rang at that moment and turns out it was jack, with smiles she picked it up but Nana 's hands stopped her.

" No phone in the dinning ayra you know the rules " .

" I know Nana but this is really important " .

" You can speak to that person some other time, this is family time " Nana declared.

" But he's not family Nana " Alice said pointing at Jiminy.

" Tsk I'm more of a family to Nana than you will ever be " Jiminy said his blue eyes turning another shade of color in anger.

" How outrageous can you get? FYI I'm her favorite grandchild " .

Ayra watched as Jiminy and Alice started another round but this time she wasn't interested anymore, she stared at her phone ring continuously.
