CHAPTER 100

" Kachi!! , kachi!!. "

Pretending as though she didn't hear her name, she walked fastly to the school gate. Immediately she had heard the bell for school dismissal she had stood up to go home quickly in order to avoid him but somehow he had noticed her leaving and was currently calling her name as though she stole some parts of his body or something.

Wondering where both Ella and ayra had ran off to even before the dissmisal she had stepped one foot across the gate when a pair of sturdy arms grabbed her by the shoulders, she didn't have to turn to know who had the audacity to touch her. She knew his scents by heart already.

" Kachi I have been calling you? What's wrong? Are you okay? " .

" I'm fine please let go of me " She said in a tight voice.

"Uhm you don't sound fine but I was calling you name all the way from the class but you didn't turn once to acknowledge me " He tried as much as he could to keep the hurt he felt away from his words and hoped he was successful, last time he checked they were perfectly okay so why was she acting this way? Pft she was giving him a hell of a tough time, when he was mean to her she gave him all the attention he needed but now it's the opposite. Does she have a problem with nice guys? Or maybe she just hated him because of the previous times he had been mean to her ? . Gawwwd at this rate he would run mad and it will be all her fault, how would he convince her he did all those stuff just to get her attention.

" I didn't hear you calling Patrick and what was the meaning of what you did in class today?" She stated interrupting his flow of thoughts.

He swallowed hard getting angry at the nasty teacher afresh " I stood up for you!! How is that a problem?"

" It's a problem because I didn't ask you stand up for me, I can fight my own battles myself Patrick " She shouted.

" Well I'm sorry but if another opportunity arises, I will do it again and again. I couldn't sit down and watch her belittle your beautiful body ".

" Please refrain from making remarks regarding my body" She said realizing that the fact he called her beautiful made her feel emotions she wasn't supposed to feel.

" Fine. Where are you rushing off to? "

" Home of course, where else? You keep forgetting that we are too different people and after school I still have to work " She said hoping to annoy him into letting go of her.

" And you keep forgetting you promised to follow me home today and besides today is the last day of the week , you don't have shifts today " .

Kachi narrowed her eyes how did he know the particular days she worked ? and the manner he said it with all confidence " How did you kno- when did I promise to spend after school today with you? " She questioned instead.

" You're too intelligent to act obtuse but you said it yesterday the moment you bite into your chicken, you promised " He insisted.

" Well I don't remember and I have a lot to do at home plu- " .

" I didn't tag you as a person that says something without meaning and we can go to your house and I will help you with chores or anything. ' I just fucking want to spend time with you, am I asking for too much??' .

" No you can't go home with me and I always keep to my words. This goes against my principles but let's go " S he muttered feeling a bout of excitement erupt in her.

" What goes against your principles? "

"Going to a boy's house ,anything can happen, what if you plan to kidnap me or something? " She thought out loud.

He laughed smoothly Intruiged by the way her mind works " Don't worry I'm not gonna touch even a hairline " He assured. " Uhm I have to get my stuff from the class then we can go but I don't trust you would stay put till I get back " .

" People would think I stole one of your property, let me go I will wait for you here " .

" No , you have a knack for running away " He said drawing her back to class with him.

It didn't take up to few minutes for him to round up his stuff and bade good bye to his friends and they headed out immediately, kachi was expecting to walk to his house or board a taxi If the distance was great but her jaw dropped open when a exquisite car pulled towards them and he held the door open for her. Kachi sat stiffly afraid of ruining the delicate decor of the car and only began to breath properly when Patrick held her hands and told her to relax .

" You have a driver?" She wispered with wide eyes.

" Uhm not really just a random guy that picks me up sometimes ".

His words didn't make sense to her but she nodded and he was left wondering if he had made a mistake by inviting her over, what if she was turned off by the affluence of his home and the fact that his parents were immensely rich? Being rich had always been a part of him, he didn't have a choice and sometimes it was a blessing and a curse at the same time. He knew that most of his friends we're around him because of the financial benefits, no one saw the true him just the dollar signs and the flashy properties. His parents were never around, they were always in one country or the other chasing after deals and deals plus he was the only child and living in a bowl fish felt suffocating sometimes but he couldn't do anything about it.

Kachi's eyes widened a whole lot more on arriving at their destination, it was a mansion with a swimming pool the compound was bigger than anything she has seen before and she could sight a closed garage behind the pool , the whole house was dripping with grandeur.On getting inside she wondered how many rooms the house containedamc the interior decoration of the living room was literally more beautiful than pictures of majestic homes she had seen online. It was so surreal and she had to stop her from starring too much.

" Welcome to my humble abode"

She snorted beneath her breath " I can't believe you call this humble , your house is beautiful,simply out of the world " She declared.

"Thank you" He replied with smiles feeling warm all over. " Do you want me to show you around? then we can eat " .

" Of course I would love that, are your parents around "?

" No they're in China at the moment and are not coming back anytime soon " .

Kachi stopped in her tracks " Omg so you stay here all alone? " .

" Yeah kinda of gotten used to it. It's been this way since forever " Realizing he had said too much and she was looking at him with pity he cleared his throat and held his hands out, thankfully she put her tiny hands in his and he held on tightly " C'mon let's go, there's a secret passage in my room that leads outside " .

" Wow that is so cool " .
