Mr. Till gives me a quick look and looks back up to the class. "Good morning students. I'm still glad that everyone did great at the end of the chapter test. So today, I was thinking that we all have a fun day. You can go on your phones, to the school store, or whatever satisfies you."

The class cheers in happiness. I took out my phone and earbuds to watch Netflix.

Eric walks by with an empty hot Cheetos bag. He mutters in my ear after he threw the bag away. "I bet you got a D like Mr. Till gave it to you over the weekend."

My eyes attained open in shock. Did he know about Lucas and I hanging out? Or that he is my tutor.

Eric leaves with a grin on his face.

Lucas walks up to me. "Is everything okay, Bella?"

I look up to him. "Y-yeah."

"Why are you stuttering."

"I'm n-not," I say, trying to play it cool.

"Come with me," He says, taking me out of the classroom. "What did Eric say to you?"

"Nothing!"

"Bella Ann Campbell."

"How do you know my middle name?"

"Your mom was telling me a story about it, but that's not the point. What did he say to you?"

"It's hard for me to say. I-its weird..."

"If I get paper, can you write it down."

"I guess..."

He walks back into the classroom as I'm waiting in the hallway. He comes out with a sheet of paper and a pen.

"Here."

I took the piece of paper and pen and took it to the wall so I can write what Eric said. I wrote, "Eric whispered in my ear saying, I bet you got a D like Mr. Till gave it to you over the weekend." I folded the sheet of paper and handed it to him.

He starts to unfold the sheet.

I put my hand on him. "Can you not open it by me."

"Yeah, let's go back inside."

I sat back in my seat. Lucas went to his desk and sat down. I stick my earbuds in my ears and pressed play on my show.

He glances at me and then gets up pissed. Lucas goes up to Eric and drags him by his ear.

"Yo, man whatcha doin!"

"Get the fuck out of my classroom, and don't come back! Go straight to the office and tell them what you did." He says, booting him out the door.

The class stares at Mr. Till as he walks back to his desk.

"From now on, if you say anything inappropriate, immature, offensive. I'm automatically giving you an F."

"You can't do that." A boy says in the middle aisle.

"I can, and I will. I tried being nice, but your friend Eric, is always running his foul mouth, and if you continue to still follow in his lead, you will be punished. I'm talking to you boys in the back. I already have a new seating chart made. No more Mr. nice guy. Bring me up your phones now!" He says, grabbing a box and placing it on his desk.

The whole class brought up their phones and set them in the box.

"Everyone grab your stuff and move to the front of the classroom." Lucas places a small piece of paper in each seat. They all have names on them. "Alright, go find your name."

People are scrambling around looking for their names. The trouble makers that are friends with Eric are separated in the front. I start from the back and make my way to the front. My name never appeared in the middle and back. I finally found my seat. It's in the same spot. Savannah didn't move either. But the other person at our table did.

"Now all of you are going to start on the worksheet that goes along with the book. If you don't finish, then it's homework. You have less than 25 mins left."

I get up. "Do you want me to get you a book?"

"Yes, that would be great. Thank you." Savannah says.

I come back with the books. I got three instead for the person next to Savannah.

"I will take them back once class is over," Savannah says, suggesting.

"Okay, thanks," I say, smiling.

"Alright, class see you tomorrow! Thursday, we are starting another lab. You may all get your phones."

When I walked up to the front to get my phone, I tried avoiding Lucas's face. I don't why. His voice startles me. When I look at him, I can hear his voice inside my head. I thought today I was free of him, but I just remembered It's Wednesday the 27th. Tutor day.

I'm sitting at my kitchen table, trying to finish up biology.

"Boo!"

"Lucas!" I say, standing up in fear. He covered my eyes from behind.

"Doing biology I see."

I sit back down. "Mhm."

He pulls a chair out and sits next to me. "What's wrong?"

I slam the pencil down. "I shouldn't have told you about what Eric said. The whole class probably already hates you and It's because of me."

"I don't care, Bella. Enderson is so full of himself with his big ego. I need him out of the classroom, but its the end of the year, and they won't transfer him out. I will be putting him next to me. He will be sitting alone."

I stay focus on my work.

"Are you mad about the homework? You can just turn in what you have, and I'll give you an A."

"No, I'm going to finish it."

"Did you eat a snack yet?"

"No."

"Are you hungry?" He says in a concerned tone.

"No."

"Okay... I'm going to go get a glass of water. Do you want one?"

"No."

"Is no your new vocabulary list?"

I look up. "Let me finish biology like a good student."

"You are already one." He says, setting the glass of water on the table.

"I'm stuck. Can you help?"

He takes my pencil and fills in letter A.

"I said help," I say, laughing.

"This isn't the chapter we are learning. I just had to print something out fast."

"So, this work is pointless."

"Yeppers."

"Can I ask for that A now?"

He takes a sip of his water. "Sure."

I take his water from his hands and took a drink.

"I asked if you wanted a glass."

"I didn't want one then, but I will be delighted to have yours."

He leans back. "Go ahead."

"I have no homework because I finished it in the library at lunch."

"We don't start the lab until tomorrow, so you are free of science."

"I'm going to go bake a homemade cake then."

"Can I join?"

"Yessir," I reply.

For the recipe, I found one online. We are making a strawberry cake. I did

3 cups of canoe flour, sifted (or 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour + ¼ cup cornstarch)

2 teaspoons of baking powder.

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.

1 teaspoon of salt.

1 3/4 cups of granulated + 2 tablespoons.

1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened.

1/2 cup of vegetable oil.

4 large eggs.

1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.

2 1/2 teaspoons strawberry extract

3/4 cup fresh pureed strawberries (about 1 1/2 cups whole ripe berries) or sliced frozen strawberries in syrup.

3/4 cup of full-fat buttermilk.

4-8 drops of red food coloring, optional.

For the strawberry cream cheese frosting, we did

8 ounces of cream cheese, softened.

1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened.

1/4 cup of strawberry jam.

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

4-6 cups of powdered sugar.

1 pinch of salt.

3-5 drops of red food coloring.

"Cake is in the oven and the frosting is sitting in the fridge. Now let's clean up. Can you hand me the flour?"

He puts his hand into the flour and blows it on me from the palms of his hand.

"I said hand me it, not blow it at me stupid."

He does it again.

"Okay, I see how you are playing," I say, emptying the whole bag on his head.

He grabs the bag with still some in there. I try to grab it, but Lucas and I ended on the floor. We are behind the island counter.

He lays on top of me. All his weight is on me. He was right. Having pressure on you is comfortable. Our eyes meet. He tucks my hair behind my ear and leans in close. Our lips are a couple of centimeters apart. He matches my breathing level with his. He looks and up and down at me while biting his lip. Then before I know it, our lips are smashed onto each other. I roll over on top of him. Both of my legs are on the sides of his body. I hold his face. He grasps my waist tightly.

The oven beeps. "We should probably g-get that..." I say, gazing into his blue beautiful eyes.

"One more." He says, kissing me again.

We set the cake on the counter. We let the cake cool off so we could spread the frosting on.

"Ready to dig in?"

He cuts a piece onto a plate. He scoops up some on the fork and serves me.

"Isn't this what they do at weddings?"

He grabs himself a bite. "Yes, ma'am."

We cleaned up the kitchen before my mom and dad got home. Lucas took a shower and so did I. We were covered in flour obviously.

I stand by the entrance of the doorway, biting my lip. Lucas is at the door.

"Fuck it!" He says, running up to me and kissing me over again.

I break the kiss. "You know... For the past week, or so you have been staying longer than suppose to," I say, stroking my hand through his polished blonde hair.

"Is that a problem?"

"No, not at all."

He lets go of my waist. "I have to go but bring some of that cake tomorrow.

"Which one?" I say, smirking.

"Both." He says, blowing me a kiss.

Did this just happen... I can't believe I kissed my teacher that I had a crush on. But the fact he made the first move is unbelievable.
