I have been inspired to write after seeing a bunch of novels and fan fics on here. English is my first and only language but I will probably make some spelling mistakes and the story might not flow as well as most other stories. I will not drop this but I do have a busy life so my updates might not be crazy consistent but I will try to upload at least 1 chapter a week. I do not own the cover picture, if the original creator wants me to take it down just message me and I will. I will also make some references in this novel to help have a better under standing of what I am to visualize. Wish me the best of luck, BBQ_Sauce.

The Auction

Arriving at the VIP box I turned around seeing that the grandfather and grandson duo was a couple of feet behind me. Entering the VIP box I walk towards the table into the middle of the room and hit the crystal on it turning the privacy settings so no one can eavesdrop on our conversation.

Just to make sure that the crystal is working properly and that no one is already in the box to spy on us I activate my [search] and [magic sense] magic. Seeing the crystal was not tampered with and no one was in the room besides us, I turned towards Harold and spoke to him.

"There are a couple of unique items that you might find some uses for. The first and most important item is that there is a sword that repairs itself, shapes to perfectly fit its user and can shoot flames. I think this would be perfect for your grandson, since you have told me during our training that he seems to be a prodigy. It would be great for him to have a sword that he can rely on in the future." I said then took a pause so he could digest what I said. I then waited for his response before continuing. Receiving a head nod I continued.

"Some other interesting items are some scrolls on fire magic, some armor enchanted with holy magic, and a magic crystal of the A rank category." I said finishing what I have to say.

"Hm, some interesting items indeed. So what are you looking for in return for giving me this information?" Harold spoke after getting a good idea of how important knowing about these items ahead of time. While Graham was shocked once again seeing his grandfather talk proficiently to a 5 year old kid, and that 5 year old kid just giving away this information like it's nothing.

"Well, I would like my future allies to be powerful and not get held back due to cr*ppy equipment. So this will be beneficial for me in the long run. For what I want, there is an ore that just got discovered and know one knows what it can do. With some time I will understand what I can do with the ore. I can tell that this ore will be really powerful in the future and since no one can trust that buying it would be worth it since there is so little information on it it would be a gamble for them. So I want you to buy it for me, I will pay you back when I am older since I know it's going to be worth more than what you are going to buy it for." I said, setting down all my cards for him to see.

"I see... I will buy you this ore, but instead of paying me back in money I want you to owe my grandson someone's favor in the future." Harold said his condition.

"Deal." I said immediately. Turning towards the man in question I can see his shocked face, not believing that I just made a deal with his grandfather and when his grandfather I agreed instantly. Walking up to him I say.

"I don't think I have properly introduced myself yet to you. My name is Greyson Wright but you can just call me Grey, since we will be working together a lot in the future." I said slightly bowing to Graham. Taken aback by my courtesy since not too long ago I was talking bad about my father.

"A-ah, my name Graham you can just call me Gram. Um, what do you mean by working together in the future. I know we will spar every once in a while but I wouldn't call that working together." Gram not understanding what I was talking about.

"Did you not tell him about our previous deal yet?" I asked, turning to Harold.

"No, I haven't had the chance to. Besides I didn't expect to meet you here, I know your family owns this place but normally you don't leave your estate." Said Harold defensively.

"*Sigh*, fine I'll explain it to him. So basically for me getting your grandfather's help to get revenge on my family, I will help you when you are in need of my help. This is just basically just him wanting for me to get close to you so you can have a friend who will be powerful politically wise but also physically wise. I am not planning on taking over my family's company, I'll let my other family members take care of that but all big decisions will go through me. While I will be focusing on getting stronger and becoming a strong adventurer." I said explaining things as best as I can to Gram.

Stunned Gram looked to his grandfather to see if what I just said was true. Getting a nod in return, Gram still couldn't believe the little kid in front of him was planning revenge on his family and also becoming an adventurer at that too.

"Also everything that I have said so far must be kept a secret. What I have said must not leave this room, or at least should only be talked about and to those who are in this room at this moment. If someone asks about our relationship, I am your grandfather's newest apprentice and I occasionally spar with you. You will of course say that you win all our duels because I don't want people to know how powerful I actually am. Is that all clear?" I asked, while getting a nod from Gram in confirmation that he understands what is expected of him.

And like that after saying everything I wanted to say to help my new allies to get stronger and also helping me get stronger in the process. Me and Gram talked to one another to get to know each other better since they will see a lot of each other in the future.

While Grey and Gram were talking the auction went by not attracting their attention. Harold bought all the items Grey has mentioned and a couple other things. He bought a couple monster hides, probably for Gram's first adventuring clothes, he also bought some scrolls of communication, and lastly he bought healing scrolls.
