Forever Starts In 7 Days

"How I love this movie" "And how I love staring at you" **** Ruby Leblanc was just an ordinary scholar, who had never caught the eye of any guy. She is the NS student council president. All she wanted was a simple lifestyle and to find out what happened between her mom and father to make them have a major breakup. She was never a sucker for love, but that won't stop her from admiring cute boys. Boys like Jason Kade, who she doesn't like and perceive as a pervert. Besides a poet once said the line between love and hate is rather thin. She is smart and intelligent. But it didn't help her detect that she was falling into a trap. *She fell but he wasn't ready to catch her*

Chapter 12

Her eyes widened when she saw me, her flustered face seems to manufacture sweat within two seconds. The guy with her was obviously Jacob, he kissed her forehead, nodded at me before walking off.

I looked at Lucy who was playing with the hem of her skirt nervously, she failed to look me in the eyes. Her blonde hair was disheveled, her lips still red from their previous moment and her school jacket was laying on the grass.

I picked up the jacket and placed it around her shoulders. She raised her head looking at me with sad eyes.

I smiled. "Why are you looking at me like that? You looked so scared like I was about to eat you up for kissing your boyfriend" I said patting her head.

Well I was shock because it was Lucy, the good girl, the girl that never breaks the rules.

"Are you sad that I broke the blue code?" she asked innocently.

I chuckled. "Are you talking about those codes you only agreed to? Beside even though I acknowledged it because of you I am not offended that you broke any code"

Back then in freshman year she had made three girl codes for both of us to follow. Even though I never really paid attention to her back then, she still insisted, so I rolled my eyes and didn't say more. The first code was the  blue code - never kiss until college, the second one was the yellow code - always talk out any misunderstanding and the last was the red code - the first person to lose their virginity would buy the still virgin ice cream for a week.

When she told me I had laughed so hard, it was just too funny. She was just too cute.

But it's just a code, it was meant to be broken and we were 15 then, so it wasn't expected to last long. One way or the other we were going to break it.

Lucy nodded. "Then are you going to take me to detention or would I get punished for breaking the school ultimate school rule?"

"What do you take me for? I don't mind being biased for my best friend" I winked at her.

She chuckled and lowered her head again. She looked sad and delicate. Her bubbly aura wasn't there, it seems depressing.

I frowned. I placed my hand on her shoulder and asked "What's wrong?"

She let out a sigh before sniffing. She rubbed her face before looking at me, she looked like a sad lonely figure. Her  once shiny blue eyes was dull and almost lifeless, there was like a sense of dejection in her eyes.

"You know how my parents don't like  you, right?" she said.

I nodded. "Well I had a feeling that they didn't. How are they anyway?"

Anytime I visited Lucy or we spend time together at her house, her parents always gave me this strange look. It was unwelcoming, anytime I greeted them they either act like I wasn't there or just turn up their nose in disapproval. I never really knew why and I never bothered. I am not their friend I am just close to their daughter, so they can go eat bugs with their disapproving looks. After some time, I stopped visiting Lucy and I haven't seen them in a while, probably a ten months now.

She sighed again. "They are annoying as ever. They don't like you because you aren't rich" My eyes widened. So that was the reason and here I thought it was because of my skin colour. And because I wasn't rich? What century are we in? 16th? Who cares. Well I guess there are some people like that. We all have different paths in this life but that was really a weird and crazy reason for not liking someone.

"You know with my brother being friends with Jason and the fact that they could visit the capital and attend those socialite dinner they started pressuring me because of the friends I keep, they feel like I don't have enough opportunity like Zayn. I mean it wasn't easy for me to go this school, I had to use my brain while my brother had to use Jason. Zayn and Jason are really close and Jason parents sees Zayn as their own son, so a lot of benefits goes to my parents. They starred acting all upright towards me more than before, you know they haven't really seen me as much. I am not as smart as Zayn, don't have the rich best friend, not the popular socialite like Zayn, so they strategy seeing me as nothing. They want me to cut off my friendship with you and Johnny and start buddying up with those rich people like Zayn does. Zayn this, Zayn that. I am starting to feel like a stranger in my own house"

She clenched her fists in annoyance. "But I am not like that, we aren't even rich but they see themselves as socialites already because of Zayn and are looking down on you guys, when we basically live in the same street, just a couple of houses away from each other! It just isn't fair"

She sniffed, tears rolling down her cheeks.

I hugged her and patted her back like I always do with Amina. "It's nothing to cry about. That's just the way they are I guess. You shouldn't have to feel bad because they don't like us, I mean they can shove their dislike into their gut who cares? You can make your own choices, they can't keep on pushing you towards what you don't like. And you know for sure that Zayn doesn't buddy up with those rich people from the capital, he is just someone who attracts people. He knows how to handle the crowd, the looks and the way things go. He is different from you. And as for your parents, haven't you hard the saying that 'the poor act like the rich and the rich act like the poor'? That's exactly what they are doing, they have no right to look down on anyone because they don't know what will happen the next minute. So you shouldn't feel bad about it and just keep on being you. If you know you can handle it, you can just cut off from me and Johnny, okay?"

She shook her head, her face snuggling against my neck. "I don't want to cut from you guys, I want us to be friends forever"

I smiled and murmured "Me too"

After a while I finally let her go, her nose was pink and her eyes puffy.

She hesitated for a while before asking "Do you think...I should breakup with Jacob?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Why are you asking me that? Don't you like him?"

She shook her head. "It's not that. I mean he is a nice person and all, we are cool. But I don't really like him in that way...sigh...I just agreed to him because of the pressure from my parents. I just thought that maybe if I was able to keep Jacob by my side then maybe they won't look down at me much, but now I feel that idea is stupid" She looked up at me "Do you think I am a gold digger? Or perhaps a bad person?"

I grinned. "My mom told me that a guy only calls a woman a gold digger when he doesn't have money and he doesn't have a woman. So no, you are not. You just did what you thought was best. If you don't like him in that way or you like someone, then you shouldn't end it now before he starts to develop feelings. Or if you want to continue and see where it will go, then give it a try. Don't let your parents pave a life path for you, yes they say parents knows best but sometimes they are wrong in a lot of aspect. Your parents are old fashioned and they use that sense on you. The world isn't like the way it use to be, a woman can still work hard to be on the same level as a man. You don't have to rely on man. You can be strong in your own, just believe in yourself and do what you know best. It's your life, remember that

She nodded slowly, deep in thought.

All off a sudden she grinned. "You know I never expected dark peach to actually be able to give such good advice, I expected you to give me a dark advice about revenge and sorcery"

I frowned and stomp my feet in annoyance. "You know I hate that nickname. I was thinking of taking you for ice cream but not anymore, stay in school all day. I had a free card to taste Carmelo's ice cream and I am able to brink one person with me, but now I won't. Go away!!"

I stomped off in annoyance, I could hear hear her laughing from behind.

Humph! How annoying!!

----

At the end she still came along and we sat by the glass window having the best ice cream in town. I was able to play a spin the wheel online last night before going to bed. I thought it was a scam but who knee it was actually real.

I won a free super ice cream card for me and a friend. Carmelo's ice cream was the best of the best. It was hard to pay or get in, it was mostly for people with a lot of money.

Some people might say ice cream is just ice cream, but nope. This was Carmelo's ice cream, the taste and everything used was so different than that of any other Ice cream. So, nope, ice cream is just not ice cream.

Both I and Lucy placed our spoon in our mouth at once and moaned in pleasure. It was so good.

We just enjoyed our ice cream and ignored everything else.

The popular thing about Lara's island is their crazy differentiation between the rich and the poor or the average. It was insane that most of the things in the island is for people with a lot of cash to spend.

Even though Carmelo's was so expensive, they were still going concern[1] because of the amount being earned from just a single ice cream. They are a lot of rich people and few poor. Most people from other country would think that the poor was begging on the street with no food to eat or no clothes to wear. But nope.

Here they already created a dumb stereotype, if you don't wear fancy clothes, go to the most expensive school, live in an expensive house you are poor. It's dumb, stupid and weird. I just can't wait to apply for schooling outside, this place I'd annoying me to death.

The comfortable silence between me and Lucy was broken when she received a call from her mom that she needed to get home ASAP. She wasn't happy but she had no other choice and took her ice cream with her before leaving.

I was left alone in the shop savoring the delicious taste. I did not even pay attention to who got in, I just concentrated on the sweet milky creamy taste. Now I feel like going to make my own ice cream when I get home. This just wouldn't be enough. Of course my ice cream won't be the same but... Meh.

The chair opposite me made a screeching sound as someone sat on the chair Lucy was a while ago.

I looked up and gasped. It was that housefly again. Why was he everywhere?!

God damn this Jason annoying fly Kade!!!
