Chapter 56: Senior Year

Bam!

Silver eyes shot to the door only to be met with an extremely irritated Zhou Jian.

Wang Tao instantly understood. The Demon Emperor was completely fed up.

"What happened?" The Celestial sat up from the bed as he inquired.

Zhou Jian stared at his lover before letting out a sigh. Crawling onto the bed, he wrapped his arms around the boy's waist. Wang Tao could already guess what happened from the other's silence.

Leaning into the embrace, he locked eyes with the Zion.

"When will they understand that you're already mine..." He whispered.

Zhou Jian couldn't help but chuckle, planting a kiss on his lover's forehead.

"We could show them" he suggested as a smirk appeared on his face, elicating a smile from Wang Tao.

"I'm tired, let's take a nap, ok?" The Demon Emperor lied down, pulling the silver haired boy to lie on his arm.

Silver eyes stared at him as he closed his eyes. A slight frown flickered across Wang Tao's face before he snuggled closer and fell asleep.

"A Tao, wake up" Zhou Jian gently nudged the boy awake.

Wang Tao groaned as he realized what today is.

The air has become chillier and the rays of the sun gently push through the fluffy clouds. The falling lush green leaves of the trees have been painted a deep red and yellow, carpeting the hills and parks.

It was autumn and the first day of senior year.

"Five more minutes" he mumbled, rolling deeper into the sheets.

Zhou Jian raised a brow before pulling the sheet off. Despite the soft whines from the Celestial, he picked him up and carried him to the bathroom. Undressing Wang Tao, he lowered him into the cold bath.

"Awake now?"

"Yeah yeah" the boy pouted as he wiped the sleep out his eyes.

Taking his time, he bathed himself before stepping out to dry. Zhou Jian came out of the shower at the same time and the two quickly put on their school uniform.

The Zion sat the Celestial down in front of the mirror and grabbed the brush. He brushed the silver hair and easily tied it into a perfect ponytail.

"Done!" He smiled at his work.

Looking at the boy, he couldn't help but give him a kiss. Silence rang in the room as the two kissed passionately. Wang Tao felt his skin heat up as he pulled the other closer to him. The two locked eyes as they parted, a smile on their faces.

"Come on, let's go. Don't want to be late." The Demon Emperor said softly.

Wang Tao, stood up as the other grabbed their bags from beside the bed. The white cat rubbed against the two, noticing that they were leaving. Silver eyes softened as he picked up the cat.

"See you later ok" he rubbed his face against Vanilla.

Zhou Jian gave the fluff ball a kiss before Wang Tao placed her on the bed. Closing the door behind them, the two made their way downstairs.

"Good morning Butler Lan"

"Good morning young masters" the man gently smiled at the two," Breakfast is in the dinning room."

Nodding, the two boys quickly made their way in. Sitting down, they helped themself to the assortment of food. Shortly afterwards, they bid farewell as they exited the front door, hopped into the black car and were dropped off at school.

The two walked through the polished gates just as the bell rang for school.

"See, we were almost late" Zhou Jian chuckled.

Taking the Celestial's hand in his, they made their way to their classroom and sat down for homeroom.

The Celestial rested his head on the other's shoulder, as he watched Mr.Li enter the class.

"Good morning students. As you all know, you're now seniors, which means that this is your year to participate in Guan Jun Academy's Annual Golden Cup." The teacher smiled at the excited murmers from the students.

"Aaaah I've been waiting two years for this!"

"I wonder what school they're inviting"

"Ugh that's obvious. It's been the same the last three years!"

"Oh the seniors at that school are so hot!"

Wang Tao sat up hearing his classmates words. He nudged Zhou Jian with an inquiring look.

"Which school?"

The Zion shrugged. He never paid much attention to the other schools in L City. Luckily, the Celestial's question wasn't left unanswered for long.

Mr.Li clapped to get everyone's attention before continuing.

"To no one's surprise, the school we are competing with in the Golden Cup is Yin Xīng Academy"

Silver eyes narrowed upon hearing this.

[ Haven't I heard of this school before? ]

Wang Tao noticed that his boyfriend had a similar reaction, immediately confirming his suspicions.
