Obstacles

Turning to Antione she shook her head. "This is terrible news. I can't help but think we are about to be ambushed. We need to be prepared for that. They intend to kill our day walkers without hesitation. I wish I knew how many of them are here already. Are they armed in some way, what the protocols are, anything that would give us an edge?"

Margo scowled angrily as she finished packing each of the types of supplies into watertight bags. She secured them inside the marine bags that were rated for being waterproof to thirty meters of depth. Antione copied her and soon they were hiding the bags that looked like regular hiking packs in a large compartment she had created behind her sofa to hide valuables.

They stored the carry-ons in a cupboard. Finally, Margo placed the third stack of cash inside a duffle bag. It was the five million she had taken from her known account. She planned on taking it with her to Paris in case her accounts were somehow frozen.
