Adrian's wrath

The funeral went without a hitch. Her body was layed to rest in the Andrada family burial ground. It rained heavily on that day after the funeral as the people said there last farewell to Maja Salvador. Her loved once remained behind even after other people left.

They stood in the rain wearing black with their umbrellas. They hearts weight with grief that they would never see her again. She was loved and she will be missed greatly. Slowly by slowly they all started leaving to return to their homes, Adrian and Clara were the only ones left there. They didn't say a word to each other and just sat there in silence.

They both had there own fair share of regrets and pain, they were sailing on the exact same boat. With Adrian' memories coming back he remembered everything about there past and the guilt of how badly he treated her in the past was eating him up. He knew that he had wronged her so much in life and never apologized for it. She might have decided to leave everything in the past to be with him but that does not mean she forgave him.

He now understood the saying that people only ever realize the value of something ones they have lost it. He has lost his better half because she was always a better person that him. He wondered whether her life would have ended up differently had she not been with him since that man only killed her because he didn't want her to be with him. He blamed himself for her death.

He wished he could turn back to the point where she came back and proposed to him and reject her proposal. She would have been heart broken for a while but at least she would be alive. Even just watching her from a distance would have been better than having to watch her grave. The place that she will rest forever.

Clara wished that she had more time with her friend, she wanted to make some many memories with her. She wanted them to grow close not just as friends but sisters. It breaks her heart knowing that she died before she could accept her as part of their family. She never forgave her and died bearing nothing but pure hatred for her.

She had deserved her hatred but she didn't deserve to live the rest of her life in guilt of what happened. She at least deserved the chance to say sorry, everyone should be given a chance right. It took her a while to realize her mistake and change but life denied her the chance of making amendments for her deeds.

The graveyard was dead silent as both of his them sat there with their heavy hearts. It was sad how the beautiful friendship that ones bonded the three of them ended so painfully. With so many regret lingering in the air it was suffocating even for them to breathe. After getting a hold of herself and took Adrian by the hand and guided him away from the grave. They went inside the house and sat down in the living room.

Clara left Adrian and went to the kitchen and asked the maids to prepare food for herself and for Adrian. She knew it would be hard to convince him to eat after what happened but he needs to eat. As it is he isn't doing too well health wise so she will just have to force him to eat. She already owes one friend so much, she won't let herself have any regrets with Adrian. She will take very good care of her friend, she called her husband and informed him that he will stay over at the Andrada mansion in order to take care of Adrian.

When she went back to the living room with the food Adrian was no where to be seen. She checked in his room but he wasn't there either, she asked the maids if they have seen him and one of them told her that he had drove out of the mansion. Clara's heart trembled with fear, what if something happens to him. He is not in the right state of mind to be driving.

Adrian drove out of the mansion and went to the office. He found the security guard who informed him that his brother had given everyone a leave today in honor of Maja's death. Without even sparing him a glance and with a piercing ice cold voice that sent shivers down people's spine, " call everyone back to work immediately and inform them that anyone who does not report to work in the next one hour should not bother coming to work ever again. They should hand in their resignation letters first thing tomorrow morning." He said before walking away and going to his office.

The guard did as instructed and phoned the managers of different departments and informed them about the order from above. They in turn informed those below them and within twenty minutes all the staff members had received the news. All of them cut their leaves short and within an hour everyone was at their work station working.

Adrian asked his secretary to call for an emergency meeting at the office. Within no time the people intended to be at the meeting were seated around the table. They were speculating what the meeting could be about. Some thought he was going to take a break for awhile to moan his dead wife properly. Others thought that he wanted to start another project which is something he does on a daily basis. They prayed in their hearts that it was the former, they already had their hands full with incomplete projects they didn't need more work. Thinking of that they realize that he might want reports of the projects and want the projects completed.

This boss of theirs could be unpredictable at times and it was no secret that he was scary and anyone who failed his expectations would have to face his wrath. The people in the room were very anxious, some were fearful others were nervous and not even one single person was calm. The boss had just lost his wife and the love of his life which meant that he was in a super bad mood and that in itself caused them more worries.

They waited for him to arrive and with every passing moment the fear in their heart continued to increase and so did their anxiety. They were fidgeting in their seat while others were now packing around in the room. The air in the room had bec very heavy that no one dared to speak or breath out loud. The people in the room were so tensed that if any one of them was a heart patient then he or she would have had a heart attack by now.

A few minutes passed but the boss was no where to be seen. A few minutes turned into a half an hour then to an hour but still Adrian was nowhere to be seen. Not even his secretary had showed up to tell them but none of them dared to move or leave the room in fear of Adrian's wrath.
